rolling oranges;
LOCATION: the wharf, kitley village TIME & DATE: 23rd february, late afternoon CLOSED STARTER: @simone-montgomery
The day had been busy and if anything Conrad was just happy to get home, his hands and brain no longer needed anymore at the garage, just some cleaning to be done that Dusty had taken the responsibility of cleaning, noticing just how tired his men were. Another thing he was grateful for was the small bathroom they had at the garage, it was always kept clean and very useful in days like this, even if Conrad preferred the comfort of his own place, sometimes the grease and the dirt became too much to handle and could not wait the route home.
His hair was still a bit wet and his face flushed from the commute home but at least he felt better, more fresh and with clean clothes on his body, his only thought was what he was going to cook for dinner when two oranges started tumbling down the stairs. A confused expression took over his face just as he crouched down to catch them before he raised his hands and noticed a woman on top of the stairs.
"Conrad, honey - I'm so sorry, the elevator isn't working and this bag just ripped -" she hurried to explain, but Conrad just smiled at her, he knew the woman even before he moved in, she has been one of his sister's teachers and he had remembered her always being nice to him.
"That's okay, Nora, just let me help that looks heavy" even with all the protest coming from her, he lifted everything with ease, making sure not to let anything fall as he climbed the last flight of stairs, only startled from a small moment just as he got to her door, noticing another woman standing there - someone who he would soon learn was her daughter.
"Oh - hey, I'm just helping out"
