Parksborn AU in which when Peter was young, his best friend was a girl by the name of Louise Osborn (sadbabyosborn​, just for you~). She didn't act like the rest of the girls really, but the other kids still made fun of them because girls and boys just don't play together. Louise wasn't very girly and Peter knew how much she hated it when her dad forced her to wear dresses (because you're not some low-class brat, you are a young lady, behave like one!) but Peter was always a good friend and whenever she came over wearing a dress, he'd give her some of his clothes. Louise was his favorite (and only) friend, and she had really pretty eyes, and they were going to get married when they got older. 

And then one day her father sent her away and then nothing. Not a letter, not a phone call, nothing...

But after eight years of nothing, eight years of ignoring tabloids and gossip about Norman Osborn's child, suddenly the news of the Oscorp CEO's death came up along with the return of his 'wayward daughter'. Peter, without thinking goes to Oscorp, because even if they haven’t talked for years, even after all of this time, Louise is still his friend.

Only when he finally sees Louise, she's not Louise anymore. Louise is Harry now and suddenly Peter realizes how much happier his friend looks now that there are no dresses in sight and no one to force him to act like a lady. And even though he's initially shocked and surprised, it doesn't matter because Harry and Louise are the same person, only Harry is happier and doesn't need to run away from the mansion to Peter's home and cry to his (not her) friend about how much he (not she) hates wearing dresses and acting like a 'lady' and his (not her) father.

And Harry is weary at first because the whole reason he was sent away is because he snapped at Norman and told him he wasn't a girl, that his body was all wrong and that he didn't want to act like a lady or wear stupid dresses. Because Norman couldn't tolerate his daughter (son) being a 'perverted freak' and he sent her (him) to be fixed. But Harry was never good when it came to pleasing his father and no matter what they tried to 'teach' him in that boarding school, Harry always knew he wasn't a girl. But once again Peter proves to be the most loving human being on the planet and probably the best thing that ever happened to Harry because he doesn't care, because Peter only cares abotu Harry being happy. 

Harry dealing with transphobic, homophobic and also chauvinistic (because, apparently, to some assholes, he’s still a ‘girl’) board members. Harry acting all badass and ends up firing over a half of the board members while making sure the massage of ‘Oscorp will not tolerate bigotry and discrimination’ is loud and clear to every single Oscorp employee (Harry having Oscorp contact former employees who have been fired due to their sexuality/gender/race/etc and offering them their jobs back if they wish to have them as well as issuing a formal apology and press statement about Oscorp’s refusal to tolerate any sort of discrimination). But even thorough all of that, sometimes things are too hard to handle on his own and sometimes he wakes up and hates his body so much that he can hardly get himself out of bed. On days like those, he calls in sick (because he trusts Felicia and knows she can handle anything, bless her soul) and goes to visit Peter, because cuddling with Peter makes everything better and Peter always knows what to say to make his day a little bit brighter, and aunt May is so sweet and nice and caring and at one point, just seeing the Parker household instantly makes him feel a little bit better.

(Peter confessing that he'd still marry Harry because Harry is still his favorite person in the universe. Harry blushes and mumbles something about how they weren't even dating so thinking about marriage is a bit crazy-stalker-ish. Peter laughs and agrees only to ask Harry out on a date.)

Hey check out this other trans* direction thing that i wrote instead of studying for history i'm a model citizen. it's about pronouns mostly just to clear everything up and provide a sort of base you know? kind of narry like you don't have to squint it's just not really anything yet

Liam cleared his throat, opened his mouth and promptly closed it again, shifting uncomfortably towards Lewis.

“I think what Liam's trying to say is that someone should just start and break the ice,” Lewis helpfully added. A collective breath escaped their mouths. Niall and Harry gripped each other a little less tightly and relaxed into a more gentle cuddle with Niall's arms wrapped around Harry's waist and her head pillowed on his chest.

“Maybe we could all go around the room? You know, to make it easier?” Harry looked around hopefully. No one mentioned that it was mostly for Lewis's benefit because she wasn't always entirely comfortable talking about gender. They understood that it was new for her and would take time to get used to. “I'll start,” he lifted a hand to wave to the room. “I'm Harry.”

“Hello, Harry!” they chirped back in unison.

“I'm a boy and my pronouns are male, he, him, his.” He looked down at Niall who was smiling into his chest. “Would you like to go now, Nialler?”

“Okay. I'm Niall, a girl and my pronouns are female,” she said quieter than usual but with no less enthusiasm.

Zayn's legs uncrossed in anticipation for xer slightly more involved turn. “I'm Zayn and I'm gender fluid. Um, my pronouns between us five are xe, xer, xers? But, I guess in public and for the show and stuff I use male ones.” Xe finally relaxed xer tensed muscles. The rest of the group nodded as they took note. Having to switch back and forth would be hard sometimes but it's all worth for Zayn to be happy.

Liam took his turn, easily stating that he was a boy that used male pronouns and then all eyes turned to Lewis. She had had time to think it over since the earlier announcement of the band meeting but the pressure of the moment was slowly getting to her. A warm hand curled around her wrist and she looked into Liam's eyes. Something about them gave her silent support and she felt ready.

“I'm Lewis, spelled L-E-W-I-S no matter what the audition sheet says,” the group giggled, “I'm a girl and I use female pronouns between us, but male for the show.” She was immediately pulled into a tight hug by Liam that the rest of them joined in on. One Direction could support each other through thick and thin, serious band meetings were the least of their worries. The hugging lasted for a few minutes until a voice from the middle called out, “This is lovely but we do have rehearsal quite early tomorrow morning.” Lewis pushed them all towards their own beds noting that Niall and Harry were still attached at the hip and sharing the bottom bunk.

“Should we address whatever's happening over there?” Liam whispered to her, pulling off his socks.

“We've got some other things to worry about first, Payno,” she replied, smiling fondly over her friends.

okay i attempted to employ commas effectively in this let me know how it works out. but also i should tell you that this is trans* direction fic with ftm!harry also that it is roughly 800 words i think that's all you need to know

First Blood Fresh Tears

“It's happened,” he says, refusing to look up.

“What happened dear?” Anne turns around from where she's getting breakfast plates out. Putting down the dishes she was holding, she swoops in to give her darling boy a hug. “What's wrong? What can mummy do?”

“I woke up and... and...” his voice struggles to stay steady as he ducks out from under her arms and turns around to show her the blood across his pants. The tears come back and Anne rushes back to wrap him up in her arms and stroke his curly locks.

“Shhh shhh baby it's gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine. We're gonna fix it, I promise.” She can't bear to see her boy in so much pain during his first period. She swears she'll do anything she can to not have to go through this again.

When baby Harry was born the doctor presented him to Anne and said, “looks like you've got a beautiful little girl to take care of!” They called him Hannah and brought him home wrapped up in a pink blanket with a tiny hat to keep the new February chill out. Friends and family cooed over the tiny beautiful baby squealing, “Oh she'll be a heartbreaker this one! With those eyes and that dimple all the boys will be after her.” This went on for years until the then 3 year old made a significant request.

Anne had just been ironing the perfect dress for Hannah's 4th birthday when a little body came rushing into her side.

“Mummy can you cut my hair, please, please, pleeeease!”

“Why do you want me to cut your beautiful hair sweetie? Your birthday is coming up don't you want it to be long and pretty?”

“Jamie from school said all boys have short hair and that I couldn't be a boy if I had long hair. Please can you cut it so I can prove to Jamie that I'm a boy, please!” Tiny hands tugged at Anne's legs as wide eyes worked their magic.

“But honey, you're not a boy.” She watched a frown pull at red lips.

“I am mummy. I know I am. I said so I know it, I know it!” Fists balled and feet started to stomp in frustration. “I know I am I just have to prove it I know I am!”

Anne dropped her hand into long brown hair for the last time and stroked her baby's head with a long sigh. “Okay let's go cut your hair, honey.” The smile she got in return was worth any tough conversation they would have to have following this change of style.

From that day on Hannah was Harry and he was happier that way. When Anne received snide remarks and raised eyebrows for raising her son to be himself, she picked up her family and moved them so Harry could go to a nice school in Cheshire that understood how important expression was at an early age. Things went back to normal quickly as Gemma continued to treat Harry like a little doll she could dress-up and they became closer than ever. The Styles are not a family to leave behind one of their own, especially not for something as essential as identity.

Years later, Harry's 10 and, if you ask any girl, the cutest boy in year 5. He's got friends and confidence spilling from the collar of his uniform shirt. Anne and Gemma are the only ones that see him crack on the days that he feels like a liar and a fake. Today, the day he gets his first period, is one of those days. Both of the women in his life work at full capacity to get him everything he needs. Gemma makes hot chocolate to go with their ice cream as they watch a marathon of all the disney movies in the house. Anne throws the bloody sheets and pajamas into the wash as she dials a number she's been thinking about for 6 years.

“Hi, I want to set up a therapy appointment for Harry Styles.”
