Sam had always been described as “kind of a tomboy” and most people never called him Samantha, because Sam is just more convenient. Maybe at first it was just that Sam looked up to his older brother, admired him with all his heart and wanted to be like him, but as soon as puberty hit Sam realised that he just didn’t feel right in his body. He didn’t want to look at his breasts, walked with his back hunched and dressed in a tight sports bra and Dean’s wide t-shirt so no one would notice his curves. His teenage years were difficult.

But eventually, things changed. It was hard to be accepting of himself on his own, but once he came out to Dean, he got the support he needed. Dean bought him a binder and the clothes Sam wanted to feel more comfortable, and somehow Sam learned to love himself. If Dean is by his side, he can do it.

Wincest prompt: AU in which 17 years old Sam is a transgender man and Dean and him are dating. Dean is very supportive, makes extra money to buy him binders, always has a few pads with him in case Sam forgot to take some, and fights off anyone who gives him shit. Sam feels insecure because he's scared Dean might only be dating him because he hasn't fully transitioned and although he likes his petite and feminine figure, he wants to be seen as a guy. A feminine guy, but a guy nonetheless. Dean comforts him and tell him he is in love with him, not his vagina.

Dean buys Sam his first binder when he turns fourteen. Sam only wears it when John isn’t around because his dad definitely can’t know, but when they are alone, Dean calls Sammy his brother and refers to him in third person more than necessary, just to use male pronouns. Sam wears Dean’s oversized t-shirts a lot and John thinks “his daughter is just a tomboy”. It’s a secret that only Sam and Dean know of, but that’s fine. As long as his brother supports him, Sam is happy.
