"What happened?" you asked, with furrowed eyebrows, and a face full of confusion.
It was a typical day, you were waiting for your fiance to come back from his classified mission. When you heard the door you jumped in excitement but the moment he stepped foot in the house you knew something was wrong.
His eyes had lost their light, he looked so tired, he didn't wear his signature smile that makes butterflies appear in your stomach, he didn't greet you with a kiss and he was uncharacteristically quiet.
His figure was trembling so you quickly made your way to him. You placed a hand on his arm, and the sudden contact made him flinch.
Your heart broke at his reaction. "You okay?" you asked again, "Hey talk to me sweetheart." but he didn't say anything.
The sight of his partner with a sword in his chest haunted his mind and he was so fucking scared if you'd see him as a threat when you know what he did.
His shirt was covered with dirt and grime. He had a few cuts of his face and he smelled like ashes. The bags under his eyes were red, it looked like he was crying. But before you could ask him more questions he stormed towards your guys' bedroom.
It startled you with his sudden movement so you waited a few seconds before following him.
When you got there, he already took out two bags that originally were used for a vacation. Some of his clothes were thrown in the bag and some of them fell onto the floor.
"What are you doing?"
You quietly asked, you were sick of asking questions that were never answered but you needed to keep trying. He started to move to the closet grabbing an arm full of his clothes and stuffing it in the bags.
You were so confused, your mouth was closing and opening, as you felt tears stung at the corner of your eyes. What was he doing?
"I'm talking to you." your tone was stern but you both could hear the shaky-ness of it.
He finally stopped what he was doing and turned around meeting your glossy eyes.
"Can we talk about this first?"
"There's nothing to talk about." he mumbled. His eyes met yours just as fast as it averted to something else in the room.
You scoffed in disbelief, "What the hell does that mean? You waltz in here, pretending like I don't exist, start packing and then you had the audacity to say that 'there's nothing to talk about'? "
Your hands were making weird gestures, trying to get your point across and you finally took a deep breath, calming yourself. "You're not going to leave me right?"
Saul lowered his head, staring at his feet, still not answering your question.
After an awkward long painful silence he finally said, "I can't do this."
“What-“
The sight of him taking off his engagement ring made a lump form in your throat. You can tell his hands were shaking, hesitation on pulling it off but he still did. It made your stomach drop as your breathing became choppy.
“I’m sorry.”
Your sadness replaced itself in anger as you snapped, "You're sorry?! What? I don't even get an explanation? After everything?"
He didn't reply to your question, only choosing to stare at his ring that was placed on the bed. You took a deep breath and aggressively wiped the tears that went down your cheeks.
"I genuinely thought you're my person." you spat.
The countless days where you guys would cuddle up together, talking about kids and buying a house in the countryside. All of the mornings where you would discuss names for your kids that would always end up in a friendly wrestling match because one didn't agree on a name. Plans for a garden wedding.
It was all for nothing.
"You deserve better than me." he mumbled, finally looking into your eyes. His heart broke when he saw the tear that escaped your eye.
"Isn't that for me to decide." you stated in a more softer tone. "Please don't go." you begged. The sniffles that hit his ears makes him want to bring you into his arms, telling you that everything's okay.
But he can’t.
He won’t.
"I have to, you'd be safer." he said, looking directly into your eyes. You could feel the pain reflecting in them, the battle his mind was having and the fondness he still held every time he looked at you.
He looked at you like you hung all the stars and the moons.
"What does that supposed to mean?" you confusedly asked. It didn't make sense.
"I can't risk hurting you."
He knows deep down he never will. He would never in a million years, in his wildest dreams hurt you like that.
"What do you think you're doing right now?"
That hit him like a truck. What was he doing right now? He continued to convince himself that you'd be better off without him. Convincing himself that leaving the person he loves most is a good decision.
You numbly nodded your head, “It’s stupid how I actually thought that you’d stay.”
And with those last words, he left and closed the door, taking half of your heart qith him.
Your knees became week as reality sets, making you drop down onto the floor.
He actually left.
Your fiance left.
Ex-fiance.
How are you going to explain this to your family and friends?
“Oh! He just left with no explanations, breaking my heart and my soul at the same time!”
Sobs wracking your frame, tears coating your cheeks, your vision was blurry and all you felt was endless pain. Your breathing starts to become shallower, and you know you're lacking oxygen. So, you tried to regulate your breathing, pulling your knees to your chest.
Saul didn't leave as soon as the door shut, so he could hear the first sob you let out. But he couldn't take it anymore, so he quickly rushed to his car.
Throwing his bags in the back as he sat down at the driver seat, hot white anger flooded him.
He made you cry.
How could he?
The only thing that made his life brighter. The only thing that kept him going.
He lost it.
He started banging the steering wheel in anger as he let out heart wrenching screams and sobs. The both of you lost half of yourselves that night, and you weren't sure if you're going to get it back.
Hey dear 😊 I really enjoy reading your winx imagines, but didn't have any particular request until now. I'm going through a tough patch right now health wise. I'd like to request for saul and reader, whos a fellow specialist instructor, and reader gets wounded by a burned one and she's anxious while it's hunted down so she can get better. Saul comforts her by sharing his own near-death experience with the burned one that Sky and the fairies take down in the show, and helps her apply zanbaq
I'm sorry to hear that, baby! I hope this makes you feel better. Also, my inbox is always open if you need to talk 💛
"They should be back by now," you say, stepping away from the window only to start pacing back and forth. Every step causes you pain, but you're a specialist. You've been trained to hide your pain, to fight through every second, and you'll be damned if you let Saul see just how much pain you're actually in.
"They will be. Sit down," he says, guiding you to one of the chairs. You sit down, careful to keep your expression neutral.
"It's been three days. It might not matter soon," you point out. You need him to be ready, in case you have to leave him. He needs to know that if you do go, it is not voluntarily. You want many more years with him.
"I have full faith that they'll succeed. If I didn't, I'd be out there hunting it myself." His hands are steady as he pulls out the flask with zanbaq and motions for you to lift up your shirt.
"I can do it," you start, but he immediately pulls the flask out of your reach.
"Let me take care of you," he says. It's not an order, and it's not a question. It is somewhere in between that, allowing you the choice to deny him. Of course, you could never actually deny him. Not when he's looking at you like the world is on fire.
"Okay." You surrender as he lifts up your shirt to reveal the nasty gash the Burned One gave you.
"I know what it feels like, you know. Waiting around, feeling like you just might go crazy." You've heard about the time he was attacked by a Burned One, but you didn't know him back then. You weren't there to comfort him or save him, and he never talked about it - until now.
"I thought I was going to die. I'd just about accepted it when that idiotic kid ran into the forest." He's lost in his own thoughts as he gently spreads the zanbaq across your abdomen.
"I'm really glad he was stupid enough to do that," you smile, cupping Saul's cheek and bringing him back to the present.
"I owe him my life," Saul states. Once he's redressed the wound, he helps you get back to bed. He kisses your forehead and moves toward the door but you grab his wrist to stop him.
"Where are you going?" You can't be left alone with your thoughts. You'll go crazy wondering how the hunt is going.
"I was just going to turn the lights off." Once the room is dark, he crawls under the covers with you, holding you tightly. You know that as calm as he is trying to be, he's as worried as you. And despite what he said earlier, you know it's killing him not to be out there hunting the Burned One yourself. But you'd asked him to stay, and so he did.
"Thank you for being here," you whisper once you're certain he's fallen asleep.
Almost two days pass before you feel a difference. It's slow at first as you regain your strength, but by the end of the day you know they've succeeded.
"I told you it was nothing to worry about," Saul teases but he hugs you a little tighter that day. And miraculously, his hand always seems to find yours.
"I guess I should've had a little more faith," you reply, looking over at the man who you know is willing to move heaven and hell to keep you safe. You decide right then and there that if there's something you're going to have faith in, it's him. Him and his too big heart and the way he always knows exactly what you need. He is your past, present, and future. You exist in an extension of him and vice versa. It's the only truth you'll ever accept as universal.

Summary:
He had to prove he wasn't like Andreas. He's Saul's son in everything but blood. If he can show Andreas that he's not like him, that he chooses family over a cause, then he'll be able to convince himself that he wasn't like him. And he won't let a few stitches get in the way of that.
In my eyes, Andreas is the more out there person. So I think he was a little man-whore when he was at Alfea. And I also think he was one of the most favourite guys to attend back then. Girls & boys wanted him the same way. He is the opposite of his son. In current Alfea i think Andreas is Riven and Saul is Sky. Saul comes off as the more responsible one, not distracting himself from work. Wants to do his work before having fun. And he also looks like a little dumd dumb when it comes to relationships (Sky is different in this). I mean the man is arounf Farah for what 20 years and he doesnt make a move? I-

You didn’t want to worry, but you can't help but doing just that. You also weren't supposed to care, but guess what, you do.
When news spread out that a whole squad got killed by a burned one, who were led by none other than Saul Silva, you of course thought that he's dead.
You didn't want to. But you did.
Imagine the relief you felt when he's alive, although the only one left. He's alive.
You and Silva had a messy history together. You were in an amazing relationship but one day you guys got into a screaming match and he just left, and he didn’t came back. You were no better though, you didn’t reach out to him in any way.
And that was a year ago.
The feeling you felt with the incident, just proves how much you still care about him. But you have to ignore that feeling seeing that you guys are basically co-workers.
The most conversation you had with him since then was basically just about work or silent glances you guys took at each other at school.
It was alright, until it wasn't.
° time skip brought to you by bloom's bomb ass wings. °
YOU knew it was stupid. The plan was just plainly idiotic but when you met Sky and Bloom walking into the forest with the same goal as yours, you can't back out now.
After some bickering and raising some voices you, next thing you knew the burned one was dead and you were waiting outside the greenhouse like a child waiting to be scolded.
After the door opened and Sky came out he engulfed you in a hug while whispering into your ear, "Good luck, he's not very happy."
You lightly chuckled, patting his back, "Really? You don't say." you said sarcastically, he chuckled, before moving away from the hug and going into the greenhouse.
As the door creaked open Silva's head snapped up to meet yours. His eyes were full of worry but still held adoration for the person in front of him.
"How are you feeling?" you said, breaking the blanket of silence. It was honestly weird talking to him so formally, but if that's what he's going to give then that's what you're going to get.
"Better." he sighed, "What you did was really irresponsible, not only did you put your life in danger but Sky's life too." his voice went more stern as he went.
You scoffed, irritated at his actions. "Hold on a second, I didn't tell Sky to come with me. I didn't drag him to the forest. I didn't even know he was going until the last minute! So you can drop the bullshit and a plain thank you would be nice." you spat angrily, folding your hands across your chest.
"Thank you," love, he wanted to add but he fought against it.
He smiled when a grin made its way to your face. Truly appreciating his words. It made your heart warm seeing him genuinely smile after such a shitty week.
You stood in front of him, the question that you wanted to ask so badly kept nagging at the back of your mind.
"Why did you leave?"
"Why did you leave?"
"Why did you leave?"
"Why'd you leave?" you blurted. It was too much and your curiosity was taking over. You internally cringed at how bluntly you said that.
Silva's smile fell immediately at the question. Why did he leave?
You broke the awkward tension slowly backing away, "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that-"
Silva shook his head, "No no no, you have every right to ask that." he said lowering his gaze to the floor.
"If so, why?"
"I guess I got scared," he admitted quietly.
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, "Of what exactly?"
"Of not being enough." it broke you into pieces hearing his voice crack. "You're an absolute angel. You deserve everything and so much more, and I can't give that to you."
"Silva you are more than enough." you assured him, grabbing his face and softly caressing your thumb over his cheekbones.
He leaned into your plan but shook his head, "You don't deserve someone as broken and terrible as me."
"You're not terrible, and I'm broken too. Let's be broken together. Or better, let's fix each other." you said hopefully, smiling at him.
It was a long shot but you're going to take it.
"Are you sure?"
"I'll take you if you take me."
"Absolutely." he grinned before slipping his lips with yours, smiling into the kiss.
