I did it! I installed linux on my desktop! My life is now microsoft-free! (well, except for my work computer, but I don't get to choose what's on that.)

Now I just gotta replace gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, and Andriod, and I'll be free of Google as well!

TL:DR; a game dev using Google Docs to plan the game found out through a player that Google's AI was giving out information that had never been revealed outside of the docs, such as specific character names that have never been talked about before. When Claude was asked the same questions about upcoming game content, this information was not given.

About five months ago Google automatically opted-in its users to have their Drive files scanned. Please check your settings in your Google account.

Incredibly frustrating that Google Assistant is a highly valuable tool for managing life with ADHD and Google is deprecating it to force everyone onto Gemini.

I didn't love Jasper when I last tried it; does anybody have other suggestions for voice assistants that can start timers and populate lists without selling all my data?

Please consider using their feedback form and mass telling them the same shit. They are losing money on AI so they're scrambling to make people use it instead so it seems profitable (even though it's not, the AI bubble already started deflating). The only way to force corporations to fix their behaviour is to en masse let them know they will be losing money, SO GO TELL THEM THAT
