MY TUMBLR DISAPEARED, had to make a new one .. (as-a-melody)
That's it. Grazie vita, tu si che ci tieni a me)
Social life = 0 atm
greeeeaaaaaaat
That's Cute.
Over on the other blue interwebs (known as Facebook), I tell the world 'When one has no credit (not bad credit, NO credit), one cannot get credit. If one cannot get credit, one cannot build credit. This cycle has been, and continues to be, a pain in my adult ass.'
A guy I know (a dear friend's boyfriend who is a real estate broker) suggests a simple solution, telling me that it's actually quite easy to build some credit. All I need to do is go to my bank and open a secured credit card. I just need to fork over $500 in cash and presto! I'll be approved for a credit card up to $500. Then skip on over to two more banks and do the same. So, basically, I just need $1500 to give to some banks to get some secured cards, use them for fuel for my Jeep once a month, pay them off each month (do this for 3 months) and before I know it - I will then have perfect credit!!
Well, shit! If I'd only have known it'd be so easy (and cheap, too) to create some credit...
Now, to be fair - his suggestion is actually quite good and would work very well. IF I had that kind of cash to spare to get myself going. But truth is - I don't have that kind of extra loot to give away and get back later. I make just enough money to pay the bills I do have (childcare, car payment, car insurance, cell phone, fuel for Jeep, food, medical expenses, miscellaneous expenditures). I literally spend my income as I make it. Until my personal income increases, this is my reality.
So. $1500 cash for 3 secured cards from 3 different banks is all I have to do to build my perfect credit. That's cute.
