I’ve seen americans trying to argue that the red card was not justified. Don’t they get that it’s not about the red card, it’s about the meaning behind it ? It’s about having integrity ? It’s about a freaking dictator president interfering in results - like he is used to btw - which is of course illegal ? About a corrupted organisation that would rather kiss his butt than stand up to him ? And the fact that if you don’t do the same favor to any other nation why would this be different to them ?? I think i’ve said enough.
You said it perfectly. It didn't do them any favors either. I still think they would have played much better if the red card had remained. But it happened and now we have to wait and see how often people will try to pull the same thing.
