Have you never watched a television show. Every single show that airs seasons yearly only has a short hiatus between production cycles. Some shows never have production end due to scale of prop and set work. So yes them getting the summer off and then back into pre production is normal.

this is in reference to this post which had gone wildly out of context and full of fucking idiots, like you, acting like it's baby's first tv show or i don't know what i'm talking about. i'm 32 years old, of course i've watched television! i was there when supernatural was doing it yearly! i was expressing excitement and disbelief that a show like the pitt is doing what other shows are failing at - yearly releases.

look at: bridgerton, interview with a vampire, house of the dragon, severance, euphoria, plurbius, the boys - television shows taking 2-3 years to come back on our screens as the buzz for them eventually dies down. i understand it comes with the consequences of needing to write scripts, budget, casting, and not everyone is doing it like the pitt because they can't, im saying it's incredibly nice to see it again on big mainstream television shows! its nice to feel excited about yearly releases instead of anticipating something in 2-3 years.
