𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐔𝐄. it was inevitable, truly. that nadja would see the ruthlessness of john constantine as he allowed an old friend of him, mind you, who had betrayed him, be ripped away and dragged to hell without much of a second thought, they argue and john feels the pressure on his stomach rise as he takes out a smoke to calm himself. but she throws it away, practically slaps it away from his hand and they stand there, looking up, looking up. john is ready to walk away when she whispers something and next thing he knows, he is being dragged down, a hand on his neck and his back pushed, rather roughly against a wall.

it’s not gentle, it’s rather oppressive and harsh and just exactly how john had imagined once or twice. that he can’t help but to let his hands roam on her back before they latch on her waist and flush her close to him. and then, just as it began, it ended and he is left breathless, hazel eyes opening to stare in confusion, amusement, lust. “Well. . .feel free to do that again, luv.“

HE DOESN’T SEE IT COMING. for all of his training and reflexes, he isn’t able to move away fast enough from her grip before his back is against a wall. he did see the glint in her eye, one he recognises from other moments in his life; he is used to neglect that glint and move on. he did it plenty of times with peggy in the past, ignoring it for the sake of a mission; he had been guilty of the same with natasha as they both fell comfortably in the friendship wagon. but carol is different; and she is the one that takes the initiative.

not that he minds the feeling of her body against his own. and when her lips reach up for his own, his head leans down and meet her half way, partially surprised, but mostly welcoming the feeling, as hands smoothly move from her shoulders to hold on her waist, one arm wrapping around to flush her close, while the other settles on the crook of her neck, deepening the kiss.

HE CAN ANTICIPATE IT BEFORE IT HAPPENS. it’s awkward, vision isn’t necessarily used to this type of proximity. he partially fades through the wall he is directed to, but stops himself any further as he sees intent on Wanda’s eyes. he is curious, eager and dare to say, nervous. her lips find his own (not really, those of his disguise) and he is thrown back at the feeling of it all.

 it’s strange, not unwelcome. and before she can push herself back at his lack of response, the A.I moved forward, large hands cupping her face and bringing his head down, joining their lips once again, it’s tender and careful, having reviewed material from the internet (and the years he had spend as Jarvis also helped), the gem on his forehead glowing at the touch, as if agreeing with his actions.
