What if ADHD people are only socially anxious because our brains get bored easily?
Hear me out. Social interactions are prevalent and generally more memorable when compared to other potentially interesting things our minds wander toward.
Bored minds also LOVE drama. What if we become socially anxious because our bored brain is trying to CREATE drama for us by replaying embarassing moments or re-writing a scenario with all the ways it could have gone worse or better.
Is the secret to not overthinking social interactions (and thus reducing social anxiety in some people) just being less bored???
