The Fudge Factory

According to SisQó’s Wikipedia page, he met fellow members of his band Dru Hill while working at a place called The Fudge Factory in Baltimore.

Upon further investigation, I’ve uncovered that the actual name of this factory is The Fudgery. According to its website (FudgeryFudge.com), it is the very first fudge factory in the world, and it opened in 1980 “when A.C. Marshall revolutionized the time honored tradition of making fudge.”

If you’re wondering if the factory acknowledges their most famous former employee, you’d be correct:

“The R&B group singing sensation, Dru Hill, first made a name for itself in a Baltimore, Md., Fudgery. The group was on the Billboard Charts and TV talk shows. They even performed their fudge shop routine on the Howie Mandel Show and presented Regis and Kathie Lee with a box of Fudgery fudge. Indeed, they've become the company's unofficial ambassadors and an inspiration to aspiring hopefuls. Included in this group of Fudgery singers was Sisqo, who has gone on to stardom in music and movies.”

Dru Hill doing what I assume is their fudge shop routine in a photo mercifully presented on The Fudgery’s “History” page on its website, FudgeryFudge.com.

I have not been able to find any footage of this mythical “Fudge Shop Routine” that was performed on the Howie Mandel Show, but believe me I am searching.
