When he first saw you, he was so mesmerised by your beauty that he started blushing.
Fuegoleon, the captain of the crimson lion was usually an eloquent man. But he started to stutter around you and found himself not being sure of what to say.
He actually thought of many ways to talk to you a little more but he couldn't think right at that moment.
When you both parted way, Fue found himself thinking about you all the time. He just couldn't shake you out of his head. He was mentally slapping himself so many times in the day everytime he thought about how awkward he was when he first met you.
He had to come up with an excuse to meet you again. He just had to.
And guess what? he organised an entire event for the village you stayed in, just so that he could see you again.
Did he have any plans when he met you again? no.
So he arranged a charity event in your village (and a few other villages as well for cover up of course), and he was there in person every single day.
And when he met you again, he goes tripping over his tongue again. It's like you're his kryptonite and his brain malfunctions when you meet.
Thank the heavens you spoke to him a little, else he'd won't get over himself again that night. You volunteered to help out at the charity event and of course he agreed without any hesitation.
In the next few days, he would bring you breakfast or some snacks, or water - anything that could increase his chance of coming to interact with you.
Slowly he would start to make more casual small talks and ask a little more personal questions.
As he interacted with you, he fell harder in love, not only because of your physical features, but also your inner beauty. Every time you laughed, he found himself smiling as well.
On the fifth and last day of the village charity event, fue found himself in low spirits. He thought about extending the event, but as a magic knight, he knew that there were other villages waiting on the help too. He had to move on to the next village tomorrow.
He brought you a small little bouquet of flowers. "as thanks to helping us out" he spoke in a low and quiet voice, but internally he was freaking out.
The smile on your face was everything to him. He would never forget the sparkle in your eyes and the rosy tint on your cheeks. But what you said next was even more unforgettable.
Because it would be the start of everything you had with Fue.
"would you guys need an extra helping hand in the other villages? I would love to volunteer"
WELL WELL WELL
it is safe to say he almost jumped in joy at that moment. But he had to maintain his composure else he'd risk looking like a total dork in front of you.
Now he would find himself having lunch with you daily. Bringing you water, breakfast and snacks are just the norm now.
Some days he'd even ferry you to and fro the village so you wouldn't even need to travel yourself. Because it's "the least I should do!"
Every week when you ended the charity event with a village, he brings you a brand new bouquet of flowers "as thanks" and they get bigger and bigger in size.
You guys chat about more personal things and share more stories now. He's starting to get comfy with you.
By now, the entire Crimson Lion knows that Fue is trying to court you. The dissing he gets from Leo and Mereo is UNIMAGINABLE. Soon, mimosa and kirsch knows about it too and they tease him about it as well. Poor Fue.
But nothing is going to stop his determination of courting you.
How could you resist a fine, charming man like Fue anyway? You knew you were starting to catch feelings as well.
Fue is not the time to spend lavish amount of money on you during the courting stage. He believes the best way to show his sincerity is through his actions.
Chivalry is Fue's middle name, so do expect a lot of opening doors, pulling out chairs, lending you a hand on simple tasks, helping you hold your dresses, etc.
After ALL the charity event at the different village (which spread across 6 weeks in total), Fue finally mustered up the courage to ask you out for dinner. The rest was history.

I feel like he's the type to have a whole essay prepared in case someone asks what he sees in his s/o and 90% of it is just different wordings for "they're gorgeous and perfect"
The other 10% being the smallest details, like "the way their nose crinkles when they smile" or something. He's attentive like that.
Definitely always knows exactly what to give his s/o for their birthdays or other holidays….
….plot twist, 50% of the time he just randomly sees something and decides they'll like it
He's pretty busy, being a magic knight captain, but he'll make as much time as he can for his s/o, and he'll be a very happy Fue if they visit him while he's working
In terms of nicknames he probably leans towards more traditional things, like darling, dear, etc.
But if you call him a pretty boy….grab some popcorn and watch this guy melt he's such a simp for being called pretty
In fact, I think that he'd be a simp for anything you call him, even if it's something odd like "your little snickerdoodle" because….it's you, he is firmly of the opinion that every word that leaves your mouth is absolutely beautiful
Remember the essay he'd prepare about his s/o? He reads it to you every birthday. No buts. It's mandatory. But it's very sweet and genuine, so….who cares if it drags on a bit?
Ever so slightly overprotective at the beginning of your relationship, but after a while he decides that you can take care of yourself and eases off a fair amount.
Doesn't mean he's not gonna be there to protect you if you're in danger, though. He'll just let you deal with it instead (and if he thinks it's necessary, he'll come in and help).

Mereoleona would definitely pick you up, not caring where you are and what you’re doing.
She’ll drag you along with her fire paw.
You’d ask where you’re going and she’ll tell you that you’ll see it later, it’s a surprise after all.
She really does care about you, she just doesn’t really know how to show it other than being her loud self around you.
That’s exactly why she put so much effort into your surprise, hoping you’d like it. She was confident you would.
Mereoleona finally stopped walking after a long time, placing you down as you stretched a bit from being in her grip the whole time. You looked around and froze in shock, taking in the beautiful view around you.
“You gonna say something?” She asked, looking at you and waiting for a response from you. Somewhere deep down she was slightly nervous although she wasn’t gonna show you that. “It’s-“ You smiled, pausing in your words and looking around once more.
“Huh? You don’t like it?!” She spoke louder and you quickly shook your head. “No no- I love it, thank you.” You reassured her with a warm smile. “Good, we were spending your birthday here regardless.” She laughed, slapping you playfully and wrapping her arm around you after, pulling you closer to her.
Fuegoleon Vermillion
Fuegoleon would ask you if you were free that day, making sure you had no plans before doing anything else, he respected your free time.
When he knows you’re not doing anything, he excuses himself for the day, telling the crimson lions Mereoleona is in control.
He wouldn’t bother telling anyone anything about what he was doing.
Today was about you after all.
He’d spend his day doing whatever you wanted to do, making sure you had fun and made today all about you.
“Are you having fun?” Fuegoleon asked In a gentle tone, looking your way with a small smile on his face. “Hmm, yes I am, why?” You answered with a smile, leaning a bit against him as you took in the moment.
“Well it’s your birthday after all-“ He laughed, placing his hand on top of yours and closing his eyes for a second. It wasn’t often that he was alone with you, so he greatly appreciated these moments.
“Well you didn’t have to come along to do everything I want you know-“ You told him, feeling bad because you felt like you dragged him along everywhere. “I suggested it, didn’t I? Today is all about you, don’t worry about me.” He reassured you, smiling a bit. Little did you know this was only the beginning of an eventful day.
Leopold Vermillion
Leopold would most likely sneak away from his siblings, only because he wanted to avoid questions. If he got caught, he’d say he was going to train.
Comes to visit you without any warning but will wait until you’re done respectfully. (If you’re busy with anything.)
Definitely had been waiting for your birthday for days.
He was excited to see you again but didn’t show it too much. If you noticed it, he would just say he was excited for your birthday.
Leo really isn’t the best at hiding his feelings.
“So Leo, why’d you take me here?” You asked in a soft tone, looking at him with a warm smile as a slight blush crept on his face. “Well it’s your birthday after all-“ Leopold answered, only making your smile grow even more.
“I thought you forgot-“ You confessed, laughing it off since you only mentioned it to him once. “How could I forget your birthday? You’re my cru- uh, r-rival after all.” He mumbled quickly, fixing his mistake and looking away all flustered.
“Thank you Leo.” You smiled, carefully grabbing his hand. Leopold froze for a second but relaxed not too much after, intertwining his fingers with yours and calming himself down even though his face was red. “Don’t thank me.” He smiled as the two of you enjoyed this moment together.
I decided to make each HC their own post! So here’s fuegoleons i hope you like it~! I’ll be doing more of these since I’ve been having so much fun with them and I hope you like it too!
Fuegoleon:
•Is probably the most ready to be a dad out of everyone tbh
• Would be kinda strict like Yami
• Would for sure teach his child how to be disciplined with their magic
• If they train too much and almost burn the house down he would encourage them to tell the truth
• But if they were too scared he would probably cover for them
• Would try to keep them on the straight and narrow path, but if they deterred he would be there to help them get back on track
• Poor Fuegoleon would probably be so tired by the end of the day trying to keep up with them and Leo
• If they get into too much trouble he would send them out to train with Mereoleona. They’d behave for a while after one of those trips.
• He teaches them the importance of family and they always try to have meals together and spend as much time together as a family as possible.
• As with my other HC’s; he is very protective of his cubs and would use Salamander to burn anyone who harmed his children alive.
