Yami
Regular song: Ever since I wrote the second chapter of my Band AU I always think of Yami when I listen to Leave Out All the Rest by Linkin Park. Yami is afraid of who he is, the darkness inside of him, and how his friends perceive him, to me this song is expressing and letting go of those doubts.
Love song: People Watching by Conan Gray is the first one I'm drawn to. Yami had to experience the world as a specter, a mere shadow of his former self, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want love. In fact, he craves it, only, believing that he'll never experience it.
Yugi
Regular song: For some reason, I can't stop thinking about Yugi when I listen to Brutal by Olivia Rodrigo. It's all about the anxieties of growing up, and lord knows our boy had a LOT on his plate as a teenager! Plus, the song is very reminiscent of 90's grunge, which I think Yugi would listen to a lot along with his metal music.
Loves song: I think If You Love Her by Forest Blakk is perfect. Yugi is so selfless, when he's in love, all he can think about is how to take care of that person, what makes them happy, to the point where he doesn't even care if he's the one providing that care and happiness.
