The best available evidence shows that more than 1,500 people die every year as a result of law enforcement engagements. At that rate, law enforcement related deaths are neither unusual nor trivial. They constitute a major social problem. However, the public is poorly informed about the scope of this social problem for two basic reasons. First, official investigations of law enforcement-related deaths nearly always determine that those deaths were justifiable homicides. Second, news accountants of law enforcement-related deaths typically emphasize official law enforcement perspectives, while they vilify the victims and marginalize the perspectives of the victims' families

wow the real story behind the Michael brown case
this shit is amazing
I dont know if anyone at all is reading this, but i am extremely pissed. This incident happened around 10:01, the LAPD killed a white man who allegedly had a knive. According to police, he did. Witnesses say he was unarmed. They still shot him in the head 10 times and murdered him on the spot. During the beginning of the video, the police there actually stand there for 2 minutes, guns pointing at him. They finally move away when they realize he's MOTIONLESS. yet they still try to cover things up, by handcuffing him. (when paramedics arrived for nothing). This isnt a game of evidence, its a game of guessing. The police suspect you have some type of weapon, they shoot and kill you until you either can't breathe or you're dead instantly. Or, the police think you don't have a weapon of some sort, yet they have doubts about it and shoot you anyways.
Wonder how the media will butcher that 12 year old that was shot and killed character.
Hey friends Michael Brown's family is on HLN's Nancy Grace right now
In Oakland around 4pm, November 25th
Yesterday, as the protest started, a young black man stood up, and went up front. After a few seconds of silence, he said seething that broke my heart- "I'm sure when the treyvon Martin shit was going down, Michael brown was watching and thought "damn, that coulda been me". And now it was him. That's why I'm here".
