for fugo, shes trilingual, italian (duh), french from her mother's side of the family and she was taught english by a tutor. once in passione she mostly defaulted to italian since no one in team bucciarati knew french or english, but she was the teams default translator and still is in neo passione.

for trish she only knows italian but her school taught english and she could barely speak some and during her famous person era she recorded english versions of all of her songs with the help of a translation team. she isn't good but shes really good with pronouncing words so most people cant tell.

for giorno, he's sort of bilingual in the sense that he CAN speak japanese but its very course party girl japanese since he only ever had his mother to teach him. since he doesnt have the cultural context he assumes that his rusty japanese is just slightly ruder than 'proper' japanese and doesn't think much further on it. were he to ever meet jotaro it would be a VERY awkward meet up.

sort of tangentially, but fugo does end up teaching trish and giorno some english and french to help with mafia activities (polnareff also tries to help but is a dogwater teacher) and it ends up being a cute little tradition for them :) gio and trish both suck but its still cute :)

Got a silly idea while listening to Devuélveme a mi chica by Hombres G where Trish leaves Fugo for Giorno because fugo sucks. And fugo is so mad and trying to get his girl back . Trish doesn't want to take him back because he was a shit boyfriend but he just assumes it's because giorno is so much cooler and epicer than him and is so jealous and lowkey trying to torment giorno to get Trish back while Trish is like omg my fucking ex . Sick of his ass. Imagine fugo like "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" . That's what it is. Meanwhile giorno likes both of them and is trying to figure out how to broach the topic to Trish. Can't just say "hey babe I kinda like your ex too can I date him"
