So... funny story. . . A few weeks back, I was contacted by @japanesegreenteaco to try some of their teas. I settled on two versions of their "Issaku" product. Since they hailed from the same farm. Totally my wheelhouse. . . One was a young version, the other was a kuradashi sencha - meaning, a green tea that was intentionally aged in cold storage for a half a year. Well, apparently, I didn't read the fine print. They called it "22 Karat Gold" for a reason. It contained "kinpaku-cha" - meaning: gold flakes. 22 karat gold flakes. . . So, today, I just drank a gold-laced, aged green tea. . . And you know what? It was amazing. Not sure if the gold contributed to the flavor, but this was definitely the best kuradashi I've ever had. Hands down. . . Blog on the garden and vendor outfit coming soon. . . I need to go shopping for a monocle before I sip this again. Maybe two. . . #japanesegreentea #kuradashi #sencha #fukamushi #agedtea #gold #sofancy #fancy #needtwomonocles https://www.instagram.com/p/B4x8e-VAVcC/?igshid=1tbz9ma10fhns
