PROTECTION FOR THE PROTESTERS
Here is a look at my contribution for the Protection of the Protesters for the Full Lunar Eclipse Strawberry Moon tonight. Before performing this, I walked outside, barefoot to take in the sight of the moon as she rose. Featured are three sigils:
The Top sigil/runestave is Varð-Maðr Miðgarðr Ór by Edward Knightrün
A stave to awaken and empower all of us as Watchers of Midgard.
We are the watchers.
We are the guardians.
We are the stewards.
We come from the heart of Midgard, we are of her flesh, and it is our role to care for her until we return to her in death.
Strength.
Justice.
Wisdom.
This bindrune serves as an adrenaline shot to the heart and soul of our people, the human race, so that we can all unite and strive towards our true potential.
The Middle Sigil (obscured by a Black Onyx cabochon) is my Protection Sigil
I AM PROTECTED is what my sigil stands for:
The bind rune in the center is a combination of [ᛉ] Algiz (The Elk, Protection, Shield) and [ᛇ] Eihwaz (The Yew Tree, Strength, Protection). The bind rune is surrounded by a circle symbolizing a safe, comfortable space, and then is surrounded by a diamond with sharp points representative of barbed wire or thorns to prick anyone who intends me or the subject harm; the diamond shape also resonates with strength and unbreakability to me. Atop the diamond is a pair of antlers inspired by the stag as further protection and the dots surrounding the sigil shows that negativity cannot penetrate my barrier; I am safe and protected.
The Bottom Sigil is A Sigil to Protect Protesters and Those Detained by ICE by Laura Tempest Zakroff
Built into this sigil:
-prevent arrests of protesters and those who would be detained
-provide stamina for protesters
-good weather for protesters
-that their message be seen, visible, heard, have impact
-resilience for detainees
-fuel hope

On the corners are runes to call upon different deities.
Top Left: [ᚠ] Fehu for Freyja
Top Right: [ᚦ] Thurisaz for Thor
Bottom Left: [ᚨ] Ansuz for Odin
Bottom Right: [ᛏ] Tiwaz for Tyr
Bottom Center: [ᚺ] Hagalaz for Hel
On each of the drawn runes, I’ve placed my respective rune stone. And then placed my Black Onyx (a protective stone) in the center atop my sigil.
Next I created a circle of ground eggshell and salt for protection, and a mix of dried lavender and rose for peace and love. I noticed that as soon as I started sprinkling these items, the flame in my cinnamon/clove candle (for expediting the spell) started flickering vigorously!
Then with wand in hand, I called upon the gods listed above:
I called on Freyja to use her ferocity to aid the protesters,
Thor to hammer down our enemies,
Odin to bring us Victory,
Tyr to bring us justice, and
Hel to welcome the fallen.
At the completion of my spell, unprompted, my buckeye I keep on my altar fell onto the paper I was doing my spell on right in the center next to my Black Onyx. For those unaware, the Buckeye is often used as a luck charm, and is a item my father (now deceased) gave to me. It seems I have luck on my side and luck from the other side at that!
For those that participated in tonight’s casting of Full Moon spells, thank you! If you’d like to share what you did, feel free, I'd love to hear the different ways our witch community has contributed. But understand this, the fight does not stop after today! This will be an uphill battle for a very long time, and is not a one-off fight. On top of your magic, make sure you are continuing to share information helpful to the Black Lives Matter movement. If you are non-poc, please make sure to listen to our Black brothers and sisters, and boost their voices. Share your favorite Black content creators, artists, and businesses, especially to your locals, and please register to vote if you have not already. I love you all very much, and want to say how impressed I am at how the community has come together.
