I think it’s actually valid and underrated that Ilya casually says “your boyfriend is here” but not for the main reasons. this has all been under two weeks since they’ve been in the cottage, speaking of their feelings truly out loud. David accidentally catches them probably within days so Shane freaking out about coming out and finding out Ilya wants him to be his boyfriend is probably overwhelming in many ways. yes it’s a “oh we didn’t discuss this” but even though we know they love each other, they know they love each other Shane is having a full panic attack and then his boyfriend says his boyfriend is here. let Shane breathe. he is getting so many revelations all at once. it’s honestly so sweet because Ilya is “IM YOUR BOYFRIEND” thinking it’ll calm Shane down and Shane’s like “YOU ARE?” let Shane count 5 things he can see, so we can get him out of his first panic attack please. we’ll go down the list but one panic attack at a time!!!
