okay, so i have a rarepair for you to take into consideration— alfor/zarkon. Hear me out before you scroll in disgust, I’m talking pre-quintessence Zarkon and a “Alfor turns Zarkon to the right path” approach! He was already warning Zarkon and they used to trust each other very much, proven by the hundreds of battles they had both with and without voltron. Plus, if you think about it, Alfor is like,,, kinda similar to Haggar? They’re both altean alchemists, both love to learn, and Zarkon trusts (trusted) both of them. The thing is that Haggar was manipulative and toxic, but before her Zarkon was kind of like Keith; a loner but on his way to redemption and feeling more. I feel like Zarkon deserved better than Haggar and that Alfor could help him with that, whether if it’s platonic or romantic (but we’ve already seen Alfor and Zarkon’s platonic relationship and what came of it). It would be hard on both of them, but I would love to see more of this pair in both the romantic and bromantic way! So if a talented writer looking for Voltron fic ideas just happens to come across this post I certainly wouldn’t mind... ((; =゚3゚=))~♪

Demonic Life
Chapter 1 - Before Life Had Begun...
This is the story of me, a demon known as Nikolas Vashendal.
***
My parents had a weird backstory to when it came to them meeting and having me as their child. Them meeting each other is a unique story in itself. My mother was human, and my father a demon. My father, now, wasn’t exactly a “nice” demon. Most demons aren’t nice. Some are, but most of ‘em will kill you.
***
My father had just finished a mass killing. He got pissed off or something... I don’t know. He was still upset afterwards so he had to do something that would cool him off. He decided kidnapping and raping a woman would suffice. Hey, listen: I told you he was a messed up guy.
He went around town in disguise. He went into a pub at his local market. He locked his eyes onto my mother, but my mother didn’t realize what he really was. His disguise made him look like a normal human being. My mom fell in love with his beautiful face. They got drunk and eventually my mother asked her future spouse to take her home. She didn’t feel exactly safe walking home alone. My dad went with her back to her apartment.
They arrived at her doorstep and my mom drunkenly thanked my dad for walking her home. He accepted the thank you, but didn’t leave as my mom had expected. She went inside, looked out peephole in her door, but to her surprise, she saw nothing.
“Hmmm. He must’ve left,” she thought to herself. In reality, my father had cloaked himself and sneaked inside. He waited until she was going to sleep to reveal himself. She stripped down to her bare panties and bra and got into her queen-sized bed. My father was more than pleased. He chose the right woman to take.
He stood on the other side of her bed until she fell asleep. He admired that she was still the prettiest girl while she was asleep. But if he didn’t kidnap her now, she might awake and call the police. He put his hand over her mouth to suffocate her. My mother awoke, only to go back to sleep by the suffocation.
***
When she finally awoke, she wasn’t in her house. But, instead, she was in a dark room, all by herself. It seemed to be an abandoned warehouse.
“H-h-hello? Is anybody there?” she asked. Instead of a response, she heard footsteps. My father approached her slowly. He had taken off his disguise so she would be able to see his hideous pitch-black face with scars all over it.
“Ah! Just when I thought you would never wake up!” he finally replied.
“Where am I? Who are you? What do you want from me?!” she screamed.
“Shhh, relax! I only want to hurt you...”
“What? What are you talking abo-”
He started stripping. Once he was done, forcefully he took her clothes off.
***
“No! Please! Stop it! ARGH!” She was desperate. Wanting him to stop, she pushed him off her body onto the cold, concrete floor. He laughed.
“You’re naughty. I like that. I’m gonna have fun with you.” He smirked, and got right back onto her. She screamed as loud as she could.
Not knowing what to do, he put his hand over her mouth. Yet this time, he wasn’t trying to suffocate her, just attempting to get her to stop her screaming. To his intentions, it worked, but mostly because she thought he was trying to suffocate her.
“Okay... we’re done for today. Your food will be here in an hour,” he said. Meanwhile he was putting his clothes back on himself. However, for my mother, she remained nude. Though she could care less. She was happy it was over, at least for now.
***
Her food arrived and he unlocked the cuffs holding her hands to a pole. She stuffed the food into her mouth like she hadn’t eaten before. My father was shocked at how fast the food had disappeared. He started to like her for what she really was, even though he never saw the real her since she was always scared.
After a couple days, they started to talk to each other like normal people. Getting to know each other and warming up to each other as well.
She asked one day, “You know, Daniel, I don’t have any kids. I’ve always wanted one.”
“Just one? Hah hah! As do I, Abbagail!” he replied.
They decided to have one. In doing so, they wanted to marry each other since it had been a mere year to two. They knew each other well enough to do so. Or so they thought. They were both too young to know what real love was. Abbagail was near 22, and Daniel - at least in human years - was 23.
She felt sick. My mother took the test. It was positive. She ran over to her newly wed husband to show him. They hugged each other in joy. However, Daniel had some bad news to share.
“Since I am a demon, the baby will eventually become a demon. Also... it’ll be about a month until it’s ready to come,” he said.
“WHAT!?” she said in shock. Fortunately, he was expecting that reaction.
“Abby, it’s fine. The baby will grow normally. Just mid-way through its life will it become fully demonic like me.”
She sighed. She had a feeling something like this would happen. “Oh... okay...”
***
The day came for me to arrive.
Once I was cleaned up, my father brought me over to my mother. They had spent no time trying to decide a name as they were too busy preparing for me.
“Nikolas...” Abbagail said.
***
So it was that. I was to be Nikolas Vashendal.
But once I had gotten older... everything changed.
And I mean literally everything.
Chapter 2 - Life is Strange
I was a good lad when I was young overall in life. But once I turned 13, everything became unusually strange.
***
My parents started fighting about a week after my birthday. I wondered if it was because of me that they were fighting, so I asked. Both said no.
A couple of months later, they called me into the main room of the house. It looked serious. The reason?
They were getting a divorce.
I stormed out and went into my bedroom. I was enraged. One of them were to take me and I couldn’t decide who because I wouldn’t be able to see the other one because it was “for my own good.”
My mother said she would keep me, but my father said he would. Once I finally came out of me room, he said to go right back in and stay there until told to come out. I had no choice but to obey.
I heard nothing but screaming.
Finally, I was told to come out by my father, but my mother? No where to be found, but I heard crying coming from somewhere inside our home. My father said to come with him and that my mother agreed that he would take me. As we were walking out the front door to leave, I turned around, only to find my mother with a baseball bat in her hands coming for my father. I let go of his hand and bolted out the front door.
I heard very faintly, “Nikolas! Run! Get out of here now! Leave this place for your own good! Don’t worry about us!”
I had no clue what to do. My mother told me to run while my father was taking me God knows where. I trusted only one person.
Myself.
And so I ran. I ran as far as I could. I got on a bus to leave that town. I needed a plan. Some type of plan that would get me somewhere in this world.
The army! That’s it! I’d become an army man... or at least, that’s what I thought.
Chapter 3 - Issues Will Happen
So I went to a nice city, although I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me. I applied to the army and very quickly I was accepted. They put me through nine months of training. I was a fast learner.
They put me through many battles. Battles that I lost comrades in.
So, yes, of course, that made me angry. Everyone, even my commander, checked up on me. I’d have moments the way my father did before he met my mother. At one time, I had even made a hole in the wall in my barracks. Eventually, I was decommissioned because of the many things that I had done. I sort of saw it coming if I’m being honest. So I set out to find a place to settle down for good.
***
I roamed for a good year or two. Eventually, I found the city of Amber. Apparently it was directly after a dragon had been slayed. Once I heard that news, I was sold.
Every time someone pissed me off, my anger grew and grew.
One day, I came upon and man that looked close to my age. He was talking to a group of people and I couldn’t help to overhear that he mentioned that he had an assassin group. I figured to give it shot and join. Eventually, the group moved to a borough that it had taken over before I arrived in Amber.
I woke up one day in the citadel. Everyone happened to be there, and they all surrounded me in a circle once I had emerged from my room. Their faces had concerned written all over them.
I questioned their faces, and pointed to the leader since his face was in complete awe. But then I noticed it. My hand was complete black. I ran to the mirror in my room, only to realize that it wasn’t just my hand that was black. It was my whole body.
I ran to my leader, Vocken, since he was full of knowledge. He said, “The only way a man ever turns the shade of black you are, Nik, is if he turned into a demon.”
I had become demonic... completely... but how? I would have to return home.
Go home and find out what happened... why my mother attacked my father.
Why...
Why I have turned demonic...
I had to leave immediately.
Chapter 4 - The Past is Even More Strange
I made it back home.
I reached my hand underneath the ‘welcome mat’ because that’s where the spare key was if anyone ever forgot their personal key.
Just go inside, Nik. And, hey! If you get lucky, everything will be the same!
Boy, were my thoughts wrong.
***
I went inside to find my father just sitting on the edge of his seat. I moved closer to him, only to realize he was crying because of the dead body that was directly under him.
I ran up to it. I looked at the dead corpse. I felt like I knew who it was.
“You’re mother... she never did anything wrong. It was always me that started these big fights. Look at where it had led to,” my father said, as he continued crying.
“What did you do to her!” I asked demanding an answer.
Instead of the short answer I was expecting, he told me the story I told you. He told me how they met. How I came to be.
Throughout my entire life, my father had never once told me that he was a demon. He was wearing that fake disguise every moment of my lifetime. And when he and my mother got divorced, he only wanted to take me in order to make my demonic side come out and create the most evil demon in the world.
I was pissed.
Chapter 5 - Sorry, Dad...
I got so angry that I might have punched my dad in the gut to prove to him that he should have told me everything when I was old enough to understand. What he told me I could’ve understood at the age of 13... when everything happened.
I had to go back to Amber and make things right again. But the anger sat inside of me, and didn’t let me leave my dad without punishment.
I pulled out my pocket-knife and slit my fathers’ throat.
“It’s what he deserved, Nik. You did the right thing, even if you think it’s not.”
It was my mothers spirit. It was her voice telling me that. She was watching over me. My father must’ve killed her when she attacked him all that time ago. This was her plan. Fortunately for her, I accepted it, just like any good assassin.
***
This time... this would be my last time in this house. I looked at the old pictures of me and my mother. Was this what she meant when she said it was for my own good? Did she know of my fathers plans to use me? I would never know, but I could only assume that my mother was my hero.
I was to return to Amber for good, now that there was no need to ever leave.
Chapter 6 - Back to Normal For Now
I arrived back at Amber and immediately called a group meeting in the citadel. Because everyone was so concerned when no one had a clue about what had happened to be, I told them the story my father told me. After that, I dismissed the meeting, but instead heading back to my room to rest, I ran over to Vocken. I told him I never told anyone else.
I told him that I killed my father.
And as the wise-ass he always and forever will be, he responded by saying, “Did you get paid? Assassins always get paid, Nik.” As much as I love him, I really wish I could kill him.
***
Days went on, and I started to realize some of the elder members of the group turning me away for contracts. I was forced to believe it was because of what I had become. I turned to Vocken and asked, “V, what the hell is going on? Why am I not getting any contracts? Have I done something to upset the council?”
He said I didn’t do anything, but he did confirm my thoughts about it being because of my demonic state. I questioned if it would be better if I left the group, and he replied, “I think it’s for your own good, Nik.” It’s like my mother told Vocken to say that. “I’m really sorry, you know if there was something I could do I would help you, but I don’t want to risk my hand at debating with the council on whether or not you should stay. You were the closest person that I could call a brother. You know that.”
“I know, V. I know.”
“Listen to me, Nik. You can stay in Amber. The council never hunts down the members that leave. Plus, with the amount of work you’ve put into this group, I might even hit you up if we have a big mission. But for right now, go. Go meet a girl, go have a kid or two, go make a family. And Nik?”
“Yeah, V?”
“Do what no of us could. Go live your life the way you want to. Nik, you literally have the powers to change who you are. Use them. Please. If you learned anything from me, learn that you can change your fate, but only if you choose to.”
And so I listened to him. I changed my fate. I met a woman, and I had two kids. And luckily for my children, the odds of not becoming demonic - which are very slim - were in their favor. They’re completely human, which makes it easier for me not having to tell them that they’ll grow up and have evil powers. And Vocken did relay messages to me saying he needed help on certain missions. I gained a lot of cash through these side jobs and it helped my family out financially. Vocken even came to visit when my oldest turned 10 and my youngest was going on 7. I introduced him as my brother, their uncle. I had a family. I had a life. I had my mother always looking down on me, making sure no harm would come to my family and I. And every night before I fell asleep, I heard a voice. It said the same thing over and over again every night:
“What did I tell you, Nik? It was for your own good.”

The Struggle of Loving You - Chapter 39
Chapter Selection
I walked my way in Aarons office, he sat silently at his desk with papers that stacked his desk. He noticed and watched as I took a seat on his couch.
I laid down and covered my eyes, "Are you okay?" I groaned in response and turned on my side.
"Mentally... I'm fine. Now physically my head is fucking killing me."
"Light sensitive?", I nodded my head and Aaron stood up to close the blinds that faced the outside. It got dark instantly and a wave of relief coated me.
I uncovered my face and saw Hotch standing over me. He put a hand on my forehead, "You're not running a fever, is that all that hurts."
I let out a weak chuckle at Hotch trying to take care of me, "Aaron you're not my mom."
"I know that, I just want to make sure you're alright." He said softly.
"Are you saying that as my boss?" Aaron pulled a chair from in front of his desk and took a seat over me.
He laughed lightly, "Yes as your unit chief I want to make sure my agent is in a good condition to work in the field and office."
He switched his tone to more caring and gentle. "As your boyfriend I want to take care of my girlfriend if she's not feeling well... wouldn't you say that's fair."
