‘romance’ isn’t exactly a word in fumus’ vocabulary. before he met you, he wasn’t really gentle or lenient with anyone, so he’s really not used to it, to due to... ahem... the way that he is. if you ask (beg), however, he’ll look into it. affection is a different story, though! fumus is possessive down to the core and he always wants his hands on you in some way, whether it’s an arm tightly secured around your waist or having you sit on his lap when he has company over. sometimes, when you ask nicely, he’ll give you kisses and hugs that are just a little bit more gentle than usual. he insists that he’ll never be soft, but you can tell that’s a little untrue when it comes to how he treats you.

despite what appearances would have you believe, idate is quite the romantic at heart! he loves surprising you with little gifts (that he, you know, stole) and dates out of nowhere. he also enjoys making you squirm and flustered with his sometimes-crude words of love. as for affection, he’s got tons of it to spare! the most he ever gets to touch someone is when he’s beating them to death, so to be able to casually hug and kiss you is a very nice change of scenery for idate. he might not be the most perfect or ideal lover for everyone, but he’s thankful every day that he has you in his arms.
