Amphiro A1 displays the energy consumption of every shower you take and motivates water conservation and energy savings of 440 kWh/2245gallons/150 dollars per year. Showering is the second largest energy end use in the household - using far more energy than refrigeration, cooking and lighting combined. Reducing hot water consumption is essential even in water-rich countries in order to reduce energy consumption. That way, you can pursue energy efficiency goals or simply get a sense for your personal resource utilization in the shower. The shower meter amphiro a1 seamlessly integrates as a design component between your shower hose and the handheld shower head. You can easily install it with just a few simple moves and without any tools. Please Note: The device harvests its energy for the display and its electronics from the water flow, it does not need any batteries.

Easter Eggs
I find that easter eggs are one of my favorite parts of the technology world. Imagine being in a game or watching a movie and suddenly finding something. Something that leads to something else or something that is an allusion to something else. It’s so exciting.
The first easter egg was in an Atari game entitled “Adventure.” Players could do special things to find the name of the game’s creator. It doesn’t sound so cool now, but imagine being a kid when that happened.
Other fun easter eggs include the “Angry Birds” easter egg in Microsoft Excel. Click here to learn more about that.
I just found out that one of my favorite movies, Ex Machina, had an easter egg as well. If you look in the movie you can catch a brief glimpse of code. Running that code gives an ISBN and that leads to this book which is fitting for the theme of the movie.
So, that being said, I encourage anybody to find out more about easter eggs, because they are not only fun, but a programmer spent time for someone to take the extra step and find the easter egg hidden in something seemingly normal.
