TOKYO DRIFT

One of my favorite experiences of the trip was escaping the city and heading to the countryside of Japan where we spent the day in Hakone. Here in Hakone we got to drive a 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R up the one & only, Hakone Turnpike.

Hello! 

Among my friends and family, it's hardly a secret that I adore cars. This blog came to be as a suggestion from my girlfriend who suggested I should share my rants with the world (I am still convinced she got tired of being bombarded with ongoing unintelligible rants about how the shape of a car's headlights can give away the years in which it was produced). The idea was born in the Corvette corner in the Petersen Automotive Museum while we were visting Los Angeles, CA. 

But my love for cars goes far before then. Over the years as the world of cars changed, so did my tastes and perceptions. My 2004 self would find shameful my recently-developed respect and appreciation of the Third-Generation Toyota Prius. 

So, what should you expect from this internet corner? I have an ongoing desire to share my perception of driving as something able to be more than an unpleasant daily commute in a crowded city. My love for photography was born from my young dream of becoming a car designer (Something I still keep in the pipeline if I play my cards right). With the help of photos and videos to help illustrate what I put down in words, I hope to make someone out there understand a little more why you'll see me or other cars lovers nearly break our necks as some car goes by and we go "oooh nice!".
