Well I am still out of surfing action. This effin’ WRIST is really bringing me down. What else is there to do besides drown my sorrows in cold, delicious beer?
For those of you who don’t know me, there are 2 things every friend would say about me.
1. I am cheap (I prefer “frugal” but I don’t get to choose, do I?)
2. I am a social activities planner
So when a cheap and fun activity crosses my radar I am ON it. One of my favorite activities in San Francisco is the Anchor Steam brewery tour. It’s totally free, lasts 45 minutes and ends in a free drinking session where you can sample all the beers. I’ve now been 3 times, and I’m not getting bored. You have to call a couple months in advance for the choice times. I needed 3 months to get 10 people (the max) in for the 1pm Friday tour. But, hey, if you’re an unemployed shlob or a tourist in town then that Tuesday 10am tour is probably open!

Beer and buddies on a Friday…yes.
They are geniuses because they have completely bought my loyalty. I always have Anchor in my fridge. It’s one of my favorite beers and produced in the heart of the city I love. When you’re done, head on over to Goat Hill Pizza to try some of that za with sourdough crust. Yum! You’ll need to soak it up to be able to drive home.
*OY!! I just found out they are now charging $15 pp for the tour. It’s totally worth that. You’re drinking over $20 worth of beer at the end so get on over there!
