Guys, sometimes magic HAPPENS.
So some of you may know that my all-consuming passion lately has been everything Team Starkid, and that includes The Tin Can Brothers, because: duh. (They have the same people PLUS new people.) I only discovered Team Starkid this year, because (of all things) binge-watching Glee with my sisters and: "hey, this dude that played Blane was in a Harry Potter thing on Youtube." I meant to check it out, kept not finding time, then my friend @kimmiejeannn reblogs a song from Firebringer and my spazzed-out brain remembers THERE'S A THING I WANTED TO WATCH. So I immediately went to Team Starkid's Youtube and watched the first 30 minutes of A Very Potter Musical only to stop myself...BECAUSE THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE SHARED. So I started rewatching it with my SISTERS, and over the course of two-ish(?) weeks ended up binging every single musical in their playlist. That's when we moved on to Tin Can Brothers stuff, and boy were we in for treat, because they had just announced a NEW WEBSERIES PROJECT called The Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye. Ironically, it involves a podcast, and I'm part of a podcast--the stars sometimes align in mysterious ways. So We've been frantically following their kickstarter progress, biting our nails to figure out if they'll raise the funds or not. They're getting down to the wire, and I'm not sure they'll make it...it's really stressful. If anyone reading this has some money to spare, toss it their way eh? And, even better, can you spread the word to others who might be interested in helping to fund it?

I want to see it happen, even if I may not be able to WATCH it. I'm not a backer. I don't have the means to get my birthday/Christmas money from the past two decades into their digital coffer, because I don't have a card, debit or credit. Jeez, if I did...I think I could go for the $175 ($190) tier...and hawt DAMN I would. With my sisters tossing in THEIR birthday/Christmas money we might be able to get the $250 ($265) tier...*wistful sigh*
Oh, but I forgot to mention where the magic came in!
So I was watching their Livestream today (3rd live livestream I've ever gotten to watch!!!) and I'd made sure to create a channel on Youtube earlier in the day so I could leave comments...Well, during the WHISPER CHALLENGE (fun game; Lauren Lopez is the BOSS at it), my sis suggested a phrase: "goblins stormed your house with cookies" (something along those lines) AND THEY FREAKIN' USED IT!!! The very first time I joined the chat I got freakin' NOTICED?! My sisters and I couldn't get over it. It's like a goddamn SIGN. I want to give them ALL my money, because now I'm afraid if I don't at least pledge a dollar, a curse will come down on them and they won't get the final funds to get this project going. If that happens, I'll have to find some drastic way to atone.
Anyhoo...I'm asking anyone coming across this: SPREAD THE WORD AND SPREAD THE LOVE.
As I said: if it gets funded, there’s no guarantee I’ll be able to watch it (they don’t know yet how they’ll distribute it), but frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn, because these are amazingly awesome people and I just wanna see them MAKE STUFF.
