Trying to get my arse in gear and just post some art l've saved for months but never posted
Anyway, I'm back at my Hobbit/LOTR bullshit! And the good thing about hyper-focusing on very minor Toilken characters is that you can make up whatever the hell you want about said characters and no one can stop you!
Therefore, here's Fundin, Balin and Dwalin's no nonsense tough-as-nails mother, and the unfortunately named Groin, Oin and Gloin's more care free but traditional father.
I had a lot of fun designing them!

Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Fundin Odin, The Found One
Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters. This week it’s Fundin / Fundinn / Fundin, one of the possible names mentioned for Odin.
His name translates to “found” from the past tense ‘fundinn’ of the Old Norse 'finna’.
Possibly related to either Odin as a found traveler, or as the one who finds dead warrior souls for his army.
Innovative Startup Wahter Secures Rs 5 Crore in Funding, Offers Bottled Water at Minimal Cost
An important step towards transforming the availability of potable water has been taken by the Indian startup Wahter, which raised Rs 5 crore in funding during its pre-seed round. The impressive Rs 52 crore valuation of the company has been determined by this investment. Using creative marketing techniques, Wahter, which was launched in December 2023 by Amitt and Kashiish A. Nenwani, has created a novel business strategy that allows customers to purchase bottled water for essentially nothing.
Groundbreaking Business Model
Wahter’s unique method to covering the cost of bottled water makes their business model stand out. The company maintains incredibly cheap rates for customers by offsetting production costs through the sale of advertising space on its bottle labels. This twofold benefit gives people easier access to clean drinking water and gives brands a fresh way to connect with a large audience.
Affordable and Accessible
Wahter attempts to address the problem of clean drinking water accessibility in India by offering bottled water for as little as Rs 1–2. This project is especially important in a nation where a sizable portion of the populace still has difficulty accessing clean drinking water. The goal of the firm is to democratise access to water, making it possible for everyone, regardless of financial situation, to obtain this vital resource.
Strategic Allocation of Funds
Wahter intends to carefully employ the capital it has acquired to enhance its production processes and broaden its distribution network. The expansion entails the placement of additional carts, strollers, and kiosks in busy locations like public areas, malls, and metro stations. Wahter hopes to expand its market presence and guarantee that more people have access to its reasonably priced bottled water by improving its distribution capabilities.
Enhancing Advertising Innovations
Wahter intends to make investments to improve its advertising innovations in addition to growing its distribution network. This entails coming up with innovative and fresh ideas for using the bottle labels as advertising space in order to draw in additional brands to collaborate with them. The business has already forged alliances with well-known organisations including ACE Capitals, Vijay Sales, and boAt. These partnerships give the advertising partners enormous visibility in addition to helping to offset the production costs.

Schizoid
A BookBud Review
By Johan Fundin
Finished 12-25-2019
Genre: Suspense/Murder Mystery
Basic Plot: A murderer is on the loose killing college girls within the town of a very strange suspense author, Kenneth Sorin, who part time also works with his detective uncle under the radar. Together, they must crack the case and save the next girl in the murderers sights, but Kenneth has a complication, he’s a schizoid and seems to be missing chunks of time not to mention how eerily similar this murderer’s actions are to his newest novels main character. Does Kenneth know more than he’s letting on?
Notable Quote: ‘“If we only read books we like or enjoy, Inspector, we limit our experiences. It’s akin to only listening to opinions we like or agree with.”’
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️
Readability: 2/5
Plot Interest: 3/5
Creativity: 3/5
Disclaimer: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Let’s start with the narrative. Jumpy in nature with too much going on to get attached to what’s happening until half way through the book. Then at that point it’s dragging, hard. Honestly this felt like it was ultra padded with unnecessary information to show boat an expansive knowledge base. This author never clung to one idea and it was so hard to figure out what was really happening that I didn’t even care about the whole suspense build within this novel. So many ideas coming together to try to give clues and enlightenment to who the murderer could be. The plot was decent at best, the twist was ok but honestly the writing style itself was just not for me at all. Maybe if you like a more scientific look at things and have a care for deep in depth explanations, this could be a good pick for you, but for me, it was hard to get through and found myself skipping paragraphs and even pages that were just over explanatory and I just really didn’t feel added enough to what was happening.
I only gave this an average of 2 out of 5 due to these issues while reading. There were very few actual suspense points for me and too many plots twisted up together that eventually I was just reading to finish. The dialogue was choppy and a bit confusing at times to who was doing what, and what the meanings even were. It felt very unrealistic, everyone was a genius and no one still had a clue what was happening around them. This was a big miss for me, but I really hope others who are looking for a more in depth, scientific type suspense would enjoy it. It’s very focused on the intricate piecing of a puzzle but I just felt most of it became unnecessary. The idea I think the author was trying to achieve was to give you big moments of incredible enlightenment and breakthroughs of amazing discoveries and how science and math can clue you in to motive and the like, but what I took away was the feeling I had just read a term paper from a college student. I hope others can see the beauty in the more eclectic design here, but it didn’t land as an interesting read in my opinion.
