hey everyone! gonna keep this short.

i want to introduce you all to samir al-kilani (@sameerblogs11s), who really needs money right now. he lives in gaza with his family, including his paralyzed grandmother.

prior to october 7th, 2023, his family’s home was beautiful! it was built just months before the war. but now it’s been destroyed.

i get really emotional thinking about gaza, honestly. i’m sure a lot of us do. and even now that a ceasefire has been reached, we still need to help. eyes on palestine should stop looking whether the bombing is non-stop or whether the zionist beast has pretended to calm.

namely— the people of gaza still need aid and funds. samir is one of those people.

Hello everyone!!

I am really sorry to have to do this (I know all of these start that way and I’m sorry for that too) but several things have converged to put me in a bit of a financial crisis in the past several days. For the sake of transparency here goes:

I had to pay extra $$$ to my landlord because my younger sister turned 18 and needed to be an official adult tenant. This meant a full application + application fee of $50, and the price of buying my sister’s official state ID which was almost $40 cause they wouldn’t accept her school one.

My electricity bill was due on Thursday, I tried to get energy assistance but TECHNICALLY we made too much money in the past month (which is unusual but they wouldn’t accept the previous month even though there was a big difference in income), so I had to pay over $300 to keep our lights on which has put my account in the negative 🙃

My cell phone bill needs to be paid in the next couple days (another $150+) AND because when it rains it freaking pours, as of this morning the check engine light in my car came on. I googled the issue and I’m fairly sure it’s a spark plug problem which I don’t think is necessarily a huge amount of money, but considering my account is negative any expense is huge right now.

I’m in the process of transitioning from the job I work as a student at my university, to a summer job, but in the meantime I won’t get paid again at the earliest until the last day of this month.

If anyone is able to contribute anything at all to help us pay for food, keep my car running, and pay our necessary bills, I would be EXTREMELY grateful!!
