[ The Emmy nominations are out, and like every year, there have been some routine nominees and some shocking ones. While it's sad to see some of our favourite shows like Stranger Things and The Crown missing out due to not airing during the designated time period, the entry of deserving contendors like Better Call Saul, Fleabag and Bodyguard more than makes up for it. However, the biggest shock is that the highest nominations belong to Game of Thrones, which had an abysmal final season that we are still trying to recover from, delivering on very few counts. The silver lining for us is the savagery of Alfie Allen, Gwendolyn Christie and Carice Van Houten, who submitted their names for nominations after HBO didn't, and ended up getting nominated! After all the drama, we can't wait to find out the final winners on September 15 ]
