So we had a quick dinner after church and rushed home so we could play a board game! Machi Koro got to the table! By the end of the game, only the Asher the winner was smiling and energetic. The other two were disappointed that they didn't do well, and went on to bed. Yes, despite lots of playing of board games, the kids can still "show black face" or throw tantrums when they don't win. It's normal! Who wouldn't want to win? Who likes to lose? And after all they are children who are still learning to control their emotions, controlling their temper. Despite having three kids, and five people in the house, two player games get played quite often in our home. Just like this morning, when I had to pack all the stuff we need for our day out today, I had no time to play. But no matter! Asher taught the game to Isaac, and they played a couple of rounds of that while Shawna drew her friend a birthday card. We had a nice cosy Children's Day indoors today. We played board games and read books the entire day - I did not nag the kids to do any homework or any sort of work at all! 😂😂😂 We started off by playing a game which I have had for a long time but have yet to play - Sorry Sliders!
