A continuation of my dnd art series. Hope you all like!
A (somewhat outdated) dump of my sona (featuring my friends as our DnD characters!)
The last 6 of the dnd class series!
I’m a player in a DnD game again and unlike my last character, who was BLIND, this character is literate and a huge nerd to boot. Her name is Acacia Bailey. She’s a self-taught wizard (Bard/Arcanist) from Varisia (we’re playing furlarion [furry golarion], which makes her a rabbit-person). We just wrapped up our third session. The campaign is called Skulls & Shackles.
Day 3
I got my writing supplies back from the quartermaster, Grok. She seems nice enough but I’m still technically a slave here. I think most of the crew is. There’s some patriotism going around. Some of the crew seems to be okay with this. They fancy themselves pirates. There’s been no discussion of wages so it’s very unclear what our standing is. Several of them have been on board for as much as a year, however, so I think it’s safe to assume that there’s some sort of incentive to remain loyal.
We got pushed around yesterday by some punks who don’t realize they’re fools in a system that profits off their backs. By we, I mean the newcomers. It’s me and a motley assortment of seven others. Half of them seem to be basically useless, but the new cook has some helpful magic. Maybe I can make her some scrolls. Her name is Gwendolyn. There’s another pair who got involved with the fight even though they didn’t have to. They are Bones and Buck. I’m honestly not sure where any of them are from. Perhaps they’re not from anywhere at all. Maybe it’s better if I’m not from anywhere too.
Maybe they want some allies. I don’t see how one person can really accomplish anything in a situation like this. If I’m to put off dying on the high seas, I should be a part of a crew. Maybe this whole slavery situation, if temporary, can be an opportunity.
There are so many other people, both of the free and pressganged variety that I am not going to list them all here. Perhaps I will continue my acquaintance with a few once we get off of this unpleasant ship and onto either a more pleasant ship or dry land. This wreck-in-waiting is known as the Wormwood and it’s Captain Harrigan is a borish Osiriani who leaves management of the crew to a bully named Plugg.
Day 4
We agreed that top priority is getting our weapons back. We discussed stealing Grok’s key but in the end I think we’re going to be able to buy our belongings back. I’m not going to pretend that I like the idea that we have to pay twice for our own things, but as I intend to become rich off of piracy I think this will just have to be chalked up as a learning experience.
Lesson one, only drink alcohol with a known provenance.
We have also set on a way out of this situation which I hesitate to write about while it is still in the planning stages. We know something is going to happen in a few days and we intend to be ready when it does. Additionally, we’re probably going to murder Plugg and I have no feelings about this whatsoever. Does this make me a bad person? It certainly makes me a pirate.
