Are there any Therians that can ether tell me if these sources are accurate or tell me a bit about your experiences as a Therian (or both)?

I am writing a story about a person who is a Therian and would like to get the perspective correct. I want her to be an alterhuman, though I originally was hesitant due to the lack of research I knew of compared to trans/furry things. However with the help of Claude and Furscience/IARP I was able to find these.

For this, as with most science, the more points of reference the better. Can even use DMs / some other thing in Tumblr if you don't want it to be fully public. Maybe Matrix or Fluxer or Discord or something, but I think I would prefer Tumblr.

Therian Panel at Anthrocon

The convention location is downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. "Therianthropy 101" will be held on Friday July 5 at 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Your speaker, Skarlath has been hosting this panel for five years. He has also been working with IARP (Furscience) for many years. This panel will go over some basics of Therianthropy and define terms. There has been around 30 people or more in previous years, so it will be a good time to meet other Therians. You can view a recording from the 2017 panel on Youtube.

Furscience began studying the Furry fandom around 10 years ago. It was in 2014 that Furscience had a Therian specific panel.

This year, the first Therian related research discussion group by Furscience is on Sunday July 7 at 10:00 AM. "Therians, Otherkin and Family Relationships" is looking for 10 participants to register.

The second Therian research discussion is also on Sunday July 7 at 11:30 AM. "How do Therians and Otherkin "Human"? is also looking for 10 participants. The description mentions that the research questions can be filled out online. Visit furscience(dot)com, go to Research, and scroll down to Study 3 “Therian/Otherkin Focus Groups and Interviews”. Participants must be 18+ years of age.

Day passes are available and required to attend Anthrocon and the panels.

Here’s an essay I wrote last summer after attending a FurScience panel at Anthrocon. Hearing the reasons they gave for believing that hardly any furries were furry fetishists inspired me to read through everything they’ve ever written to get the full picture.

I was waiting to post this publicly until after the results from their 2018 survey were posted because I didn’t want to influence what traffic the survey received in any way.
