Are there any Therians that can ether tell me if these sources are accurate or tell me a bit about your experiences as a Therian (or both)?
I am writing a story about a person who is a Therian and would like to get the perspective correct. I want her to be an alterhuman, though I originally was hesitant due to the lack of research I knew of compared to trans/furry things. However with the help of Claude and Furscience/IARP I was able to find these.
For this, as with most science, the more points of reference the better. Can even use DMs / some other thing in Tumblr if you don't want it to be fully public. Maybe Matrix or Fluxer or Discord or something, but I think I would prefer Tumblr.

The Furcience 2023 book can be found in the attached link. All that needs to be done is clicking the image and it links directly to the publication. Yes I am still looking for people to tell me things.
We’ve just released our 2nd book that details 10 years of our furscience findings, and it’s available for FREE! Alternatively, you can purch
Okay. Yes, I know this isn't a very good source anymore, if it ever was, and yes I know this cover image is AI. I don't like that either.
Though let's talk about how horrible this self portrait is. It has seven Ethernet ports. Why? A PS2 port, okay, fine. It's an older motherboard then. Though, where is the display out? Assuming this is a server motherboard, it would have VGA. Even modern ones have VGA. Two USB ports, okay. What seems to be empty space below the PS2 port. Interesting. A three-output graphics card with an Nvidia-branded fan. Interesting. A Coral TPU, in PCIe card form factor, though it looks a lot like an NVMe card, which Coral cards normally are. It even has what seems to be remnants of an NVMe slot on the side near the edge TPU text. Not at all what a Coral card looks like anyway. There's no shielding like that. And, why is it plugged into a PCIe slot? That's not how those cards work. Take a look next to the Ethernet/USB stack. That kinda looks like a SATA cable. Why is it in an external port? Why does said port look like an Ethernet port? Why does that cable go to what appears to be a USB header? What's with the random ethernet everywhere? Oh, and the PS2 port is for a mouse, yet doesn't appear to have an accompanying keyboard port. Also, why does it look like the PS2 port was burnt? It looks melted. And there's random blurring everywhere. Yes, I know the card says GTX. But that was an actual thing. It came before RTX. And wait, that doesn't even seem like a SATA cable. What even is that? Main thing it reminds me of while typing this is firewire. Anyways. Yeah. Ai making a horrible self portrait.
Happy IDAHOTB (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia).

Performing arts people, please stop:
Being mean to the techs
giving techs dirty looks or laugh at them for doing their job
eat food in costume
touching props that AREN'T YOURS
messing with the tech equipment
Thank you! - a tired theatre tech who's just trying to do their job.
Y'all ETC light fixtures are almost always upwards of $1000 USD each. I've seen some for $14,000 on the low end of that type of fixture. (Talking about Halcyon Platinum) Don't break those please. (Other companies are expensive as well, but I'm most familiar with ETC. Chauvet may be on that list as well.)
The cheapest ETC EOS console is $10,000. (I suppose technically a nomad with a programing wing is a console, but I'm only counting dedicated hardware in this.) Other companies and other ETC families may start out, or even finish, cheaper. Though most I know of are around the same.
Haven't checked Allen and Heath's pricing recently, or ever for that matter. I believe a SQ7 is around 10k as well.
Video systems are expensive, likely not very close to actors often, though still important. Cameras and lenses can be thousands of dollars individually. Controls and recording can be even more. Go look at Blackmagic Design's pricing.
Microphones are hundreds of dollars. Shure lav mics are a few hundred dollars each, and then the actual microphone part is another couple hundred.
Rigging systems, while being expensive on their own, can quite easily make someone no longer living if disrespected, or break equipment.
Really what I'm saying is, if you're not trained or you weren't told by a tech to do something specifically, don't. There's probably a reason it's that way. And if you break something (or someone) it ain't going to be fun for you or your financial status.
Also, yes I do know and like companies other than ETC. ChamSys, Chauvet, Blizzard (I DNS blocked Blizzard entertainment because I kept getting directed to them instead of blizzard lighting), MA lighting/GrandMA, e.t.c.
If you like Rent (the musical. Not the payment.), then take a look at the lyrics of the Rent songs from Jonathan Sings Larson.
I'll give you an example.
In One Song Glory, there's a line "In the eyes of a young girl, the young girl".
Larson's version is "In the eyes of the young girls, the young girls".
Arguably Larson's version makes more sense. In the context of the song and musical. Roger meets Mimi right after this song, so he would be talking about April.
Another example, again in One Song Glory, the lyric from Rent is "Beyond the cheap coloured lights", whereas Larson's version is "Before you enter the light."
Thought that was interesting.
Edit : Woops. 'Beyond the cheap coloured lights' still exits. That lyric replaced 'before the virus takes hold".
So. I found a post from @gaynessopimizationalgorithm. Given the fact that I am a Rust dev, I thought Id recreate this program. I attached some screenshots of it and the output of the test. Tell me if anyone wants me to publish this as a crate on crates.io. I made it a library so i fairly easily could. Is this the best Rust code that could be used? Probably not. But its the way I did it. So such.

HAPPY IAD DAY EVERYONE!💜🤍🩶🖤Since explaining my sexuality usually results in people asking all kinds of uncomfortable questions, I keep with me the definition card and let it do the job for me, and I tell them I wont explain any further, because personally, it’s not their businessI’m a proud Ace, but that doesn’t mean I have to openly tell people I just met about all the details about my sexuality. Asexual people can masturbate, have sex, watch porn, be sex repulsive, neutral or positive. That doesn’t mean we have to tell you extensively if we do or are any of these as soon we tell you we are Ace. Please respect us regardless of our place in the spectrum💜

Happy international Asexual day.
Side, wow. Lot of important days in short succession here. Trans, Autism, Ace. All just a couple days apart.
Well. It was in a community so I couldn't like or repost it.
Hi guys!! I’ve seen some (untrue) things about us trans guys today and I’m never in the mood to listen to TERFs soooooo Have some friendly
Happy transgender visibility day
Linux makes you trans~
Soo.... If you lower your larynx (kina like yawning) you can make your voice lower. I've found it works singing, haven't really successfully gotten it to work in talking. Though I haven't tried talking much. It may work.
I ain't recommending you do this 24/7 as that may hurt your voice, but you may want it at some point. "I was actually specifically advised against doing this by a vocal coach. They told me lots of transmasc singers do it bc it creates a kind of aural illusion where the voice you hear resonating in your skull sounds deeper and warmer, but it doesn't project that sound out and you end up sounding a bit kermit-y from the outside" - @caitrose
