I think Lor-Elaine tops out as my favorite. She’s a lawful evil genius sniper and I just love the potential she’d have as a big bad in the M9 campaign. Heck, I even wrote a short story based on her existence! And I have another story in my head about the events that caused the shock of white in her hair. We’ll see if I ever write it out, it’d be dark.

Also I’m just really happy with her general design.

I never imagined that two fan-characters would end up being two of my favorite ones. But I guess that’s a testament to the amazing worldbuilding and storytelling of Matt Mercer, and the incredible character making of the Critical Role cast.

Furtail owns a ring of Alter Self. He uses it quite a bit, for a range of reasons.

His full name is Fhur’tael Zan’thi ji Varosza D’Mae.

Furtail & Murmur

I just realized the other day that Furtail and Murmur have quite similar physical features. Dark skin, bright eyes, light hair, funky tails.They’re also both bards! (Though Furtail has a couple levels in Druid as well) There was really only one thing to do. So now I’ve decided that they’re half siblings!

Since Furtail is half Fey, specifically the son of Oberon, his mother faked his death at birth and sent him far away in order to keep her secret and hide the shame of her first born being a bastard. She soon enough got pregnant with her actual husband, produced three more sons and then finally a daughter named Orianna. Or Murmur, as she calls herself to spite her mother.

So yeah. Ever since I thought of this, the idea to draw them together has been stuck in my head. I had to get it out. I’m very happy with the results!
