These are by far my favorite characters that I’ve made.

I think Lor-Elaine tops out as my favorite. She’s a lawful evil genius sniper and I just love the potential she’d have as a big bad in the M9 campaign. Heck, I even wrote a short story based on her existence! And I have another story in my head about the events that caused the shock of white in her hair. We’ll see if I ever write it out, it’d be dark.

Also I’m just really happy with her general design.

I never imagined that two fan-characters would end up being two of my favorite ones. But I guess that’s a testament to the amazing worldbuilding and storytelling of Matt Mercer, and the incredible character making of the Critical Role cast.

A Distant Memory of the Clays

Rising at dawn, the Clay family always made sure that breakfast was a pleasant affair. After all, it was in charge of setting the tone for the coming days’ work. Even the odd one out in the family would join in the atmosphere, though she rarely participated directly.

This was a two-day project, my most ambitious yet and I’m honestly so happy. I actually drew a background and didn’t give up halfway through! There's an actual scene rather than a bunch of characters in a picture. I put details in, I spent time on lighting even though I suck at it because I can never wrap my head around it. So I am happy I got this made, and I am happy with the result!

Also teenage Caduceus and kid Carnelis were a lot of fun to draw! They turned out way cuter than I could’ve hoped.

Say hello to Carnelis Clay!

I imagine the Clay family as a very cohesive unit, most of them being Clerics of the grave domain. Not identical but similar in appearance and coloration. Their garments, accessories and armor follow the same aesthetic. Also yes, I do imagine that all of their initials would be C.C. Because why the hell not.

Carnelis was raised a cleric of the grave, like the rest of his family. However, once he left the safety of the grove, he reached out for other sources of knowledge, hoping to improve the chances of saving his home. A few years later and he is a well versed druid of the circle of twilight. It’s been a rough few years, but he keeps at it with a gently optimistic outlook on life.

Carnelis is a fairly shy soul, soft-spoken and generally keen to avoid any form of conflict. However, he holds more bravery than meets the eye. He also tends to look relatively tired at any given time. No real point in asking why; he doesn’t know.

I am honestly surprised I managed to mix colors together in a way that matched the digital colors of Carnelis clothes.

Sadly my hand was a bit shaky when coloring so that meant I had to do thicker lines than I’d like to cover it up.
