Kaiji betting Andou and Furuhata's last stars in the Espoir feels a lot like Mario and Chang giving up their lives for Kaiji to gamble, actually lots of the major moments in the RRPS arc feels reminiscent to One Poker.

Except the only difference is that in the first scenario they agreed due to necessity while in the second they agreed knowing they would probably die just to give him one last chance, because they truly cared.... And honestly that kinda parallel between Kaiji's first allies who ended up betraying him and his new allies who genuinely care for him... Man.

He has come such a long way since that cursed night at the Espoir.

Furuhata Ninzaburo S01E11.

We watched this episode and shouted BAKABON NO PAPA for approximately three days straight. Great murder conceit in this one, great villain, great acting, great 50000x silver rings on each of her hands. 

Kaori Momoi’s one of the best killers of the episodes I’ve see, rivaling Masaaki Sakai (Noh guy) in episode 2, Takeshi Kaga (aka CHAIRMAN KAGA ON THE TRAIN) in episode 8, and the reigning all-time champ, Masao Kusakari (the pool-playing, smooth-talking murder doctor) in episode 16. The drive-time radio crew segments in this episode were a real joy, their dialogue just this fantastic, non-stop clippy back and forth you could barely follow. And the “could she have made this run in 3 minutes?” lead to some of the most A+ Imaizumi mistreatment we’ve seen to date.

This is high on the list of episodes I’d show when trying to introduce someone to the series, but at some point that list might just be “pretty much any of them.”

Taking too long.

Exactly 42 days from now, I will be an official bum for 6 whole months. I am beginning to mess up my future plans. I am beginning to think that there are som any choices, I cannot choose (well, not beginning to think but already thinking) 

My original plan was to rest a couple of months, and find a job, and have a job, and gain my salary, and save some money, and study a little.

Reality is boring. (at least according to Asuka of "LIEUTENANT : FURUHATA CHUUGAKUSEI SPECIAL "YOUNG FURUHATA")

BUT

Reality is also cruel.

You don't always get what you want and do not lead to according to your plans. And it sucks.

I think I am taking too long to decide on what I really want but in reality I don't. Too bad I cannot control things. I have to be ready and I have to be patient whatever will come. 

These dreams and plan of mine has their own pace I need to keep up with. I must. I will. Not sure when or how, but it will. 

I shall somewhat believe.
