You coming?
I'm back from my unintentional break.
Burnout sucks and I got busy, but I'm back now and am gonna try to keep up with the posts.
A painting of Catra from She-ra and the Princesses of Power I did tonight. I'm really happy with how it turned out!
Catra is a character who means a lot to me, and it was fun to paint her!
Edit: this is getting notes apparently, and I forgot to mention that the linework is basically line for line from the finale of the show. With the exception of the hair, which wasn't. Just quick fyi
they're WIVES
ALRIGHT LETS TALK ABOUT WHO WOULD HAVE CARRIED CATRADORA'S CHILD(REN)
it would not have been adora and i will stand by that
- catra isn't shera, catra can give up her body/fighting for about nine months + some time after the birth
- and i hc that catra's main job after the war is mostly not fighting, so she'd be able to continue doing that even while pregnant
- adora would not want to rest and stop doing what she normally would be doing. i think she wouldn't enjoy pregnancy for that reason
- i think catra would have A LOT of anxiety about her relationship with the baby, because of all her mother figure related trauma, and would see pregnancy as a way to be closer to the baby
- i think catra would be less anxious about anything abnormal (or possibilities of problems) so it would be better than have adora stress about it and thus stress the baby
- this is completely baseless, but i see adora as the type of person to hate doctors visits so
ultimately, i imagine it going as such:
they agree they want a child and discuss who should carry the baby. Adora immediately offers to carry it, becuase she didn't think catra would want to. Catra knows Adora, and knows she is only offering for Catra's sake, not because she actually wants to do it. So, Catra offers and agree that it would be overall the better choice for Catra to do it :)
