π»π Happy Halloween! ππ»
I am slowly but surely storing up photos to come back to this story with a bang and (hopefully) with little to no more interruptions.
But until then, please enjoy these photos of the next generation of Ivanovs all dressed up for Halloween!
I've never particularly been a fan of teasing the next gen for my story like many other blogs do and that's fully on me, not them, because I just can't make that kind of commitment that far in advance πππ but I overcame my scruples to bring you a few future Ivanovs
None of them have names, and in fact their appearances may change when they finally do arrive in the story, so... No promises! π
Can you guess the parentage of any of these babies?
Anyways, just wanted to come on here and say I'm not dead, and happy Halloween!!ππ»
Okay bear with me for a sec but does anyone else imagine with Pokemon for a future generation making a region based off the American Midwest. I couldnβt help but notice how they actually are using British English in SwSh so I thought as an Iowa native what if the people in this region use words such as warsh, crick, frick, pop, holler, padiddle etc.
Type/Species Balancing Rambling
I'm hoping that when future games come out, Noibat will be placed very early in the game. For a pokemon who is very weak and evolves into a specially oriented Crobat, she should be early access. (Not necessarily first route, but you know what I mean.)
Dragons should no longer be postponed to the end of the game on principle since we now not only have Fairies, but also Dragons that are not in the BST range of pseudolegends. With Tyrunt/Tyrantrum's and Axew's placements in XY, it seems GF isn't averse to the idea, which is great.
I also hope they stop postponing Ice until endgame, too. It is nowhere near as powerful as they think it is, and it doesn't even have the excuse of high BST's or mystical status to back it up.
Water is arguably the most broken right now, and it's been pretty powerful for a long time because of the combination of:
how solid Water type pokemon's stats are on average
how versatile they are with the extremely wide number of move types they can learn
how their STAB offers some of the best neutral coverage in the game, right next to Rock
how few weaknesses they have (2, one of which isn't encountered in enemy movepools that often due to being resisted by just about everything)
And Water types have been extremely accessible for years. (And are THE most numerous type in the game!) I think it's because their power isn't readily apparent. It's a combination of a lot of small good traits that also aren't very apparent on first glance on their own.
I hope Grass gets re-balanced in the future, too. It has an atrocious number of weaknesses and types that resist it. Unfortunately, they all make sense thematically. Maybe removing the weakness to Flying attacks and making them neutral will help. It instantly helps both Leavanny and Parasect out a lot. This one is extremely difficult since messing with it too much wrecks several other types in the process. Adding a resistance to Rock would probably work out well, too.
I don't know the likelihood of the type chart getting another once-over in gen 7 since gen 6 just got one, but I do hope they consider it.
