You know, another thing I’ve come to realize and I don’t see many people talking about is how much of a bitch bullets must be to creatures with high regeneration. Like, healing quickly is great and all, definitely one of the better perks of being kindred— but bullets don’t exactly fall out. Your flesh heals around that shit. Sure, some of them may reject and be pushed out of your body; some will simply pass through you. Most won’t. You’re gonna have to claw that shit out bullet by bullet unless you want to carry around a bunch of lead.
Also, assuming you’re not in a place where you can tend to your wounds quickly, any entry/exit wounds would heal and make it that much harder to find. You kinda have to guess/feel them out. Shit fucking suuuuucks.
Nahhhh I had a dream that my sisters were trying to get me put in jail for READING dead dove shit, telling the court I was evil for enjoying fanfiction about FICTIONAL CHARACTERS getting kidnapped and put through it. Good times out here for your local wizard anyway this is your reminder that THOUGHT CRIMES ARENT REAL and reading or writing characters in awful situations or going through deplorable things doesn’t mean you support those things
I need daniel to get over himself actually.
While I agree with most about the state of the fandom, I also am really tired of talking about 'the fandom' and how people obsess over it to the point of letting it ruin things they once liked.
Some people even start questioning the creator suddenly as if they're part of the fandom?
Please understand. Fandom misogyny is incredibly real and the fact most people are hateful and cruel to women ships fuckin sucks
But I really don't like to hang on that all day everyday. I don't think that's helping anyone, yourself or the people who agree with you.
I support bringing it up every so often but please. Please.
I truly think fandom should be a positive place that makes you happy to be there. I think it's better to talk about why you LIKE a ship, not why fandom treats it like shit and how the other shippers suck (a lot of do suck I know.)
Then we get to the point where these fandom assholes are so hated and so overly talked about that people who love the same thing you do start poking holes in the thing you love for not being 'good enough' like ??? This is personally where I think you've gone too deep, really let the negative parts of fandom poison you for the worse.
The entire reason we came here is because of the canon! Because of what the creator made! Suddenly deciding later on it's not good enough is not going to make ANYTHING better. You're just making people feel stupid for loving the thing you also supposedly love and making everything feel hopeless and pointless, driving people to make LESS work for the things we want
Now, god, I know here I am talking about fandom and complaining about fandom complaining about fandom, but I promise you I'm not going to do this often. I made my point and I can relax. I will still always love and care about my ship and my canon and what I've made. I will keep caring about it deeply, regardless of what anyone in fandom says.
( content notes: mammon, abuse/exploitation, implied disordered eating, body image abuse, purging )
hopefully most of us can't imagine what it's like to be fizz when he was put through mammon's abuse and exploitation (and the same by MILLIONS of creepy fans).
specifically, i can't help but shiver every time i watch that episode and see the part when mammon tells fizz that he needs to lose weight, and fizz responds in this absolutely soul-crushing tone "i'll work on that." the implications there are so disturbing.
and then there's this fucked up frame from the beginning of "2 minutes notice" which most of us probably miss because it goes by so fast.
