This is a scene out of a story I'm writing, centering around our favorite fuzzy blue elf. In summary, the villains pulled a big one over the heroes and took over the world, divvying up the land between them. There's still heroes out there, but not en force as before. Kurt's one of the little guys. He fights the Nation, as they've dubbed themselves, on a small scale in old Germany, keeping casualties to a minimum. Didn't work out so well in this scenario. In this case, Kitty finds Kurt after a couple years of the Nation's reign. Kurt had stirred up a hell of a lot of trouble by releasing an entire slave house the night before. Amongst the chaos of that backlash, Kitty begs Kurt to come back to old United States, to join the underground hero group that she's a part of. And we'll just say she's a very, very convincing factor to Kurt's return to the Americas. Kurt ends up getting shot in the melee, but it's about the least that ever happens to him. For now, New Nation is posted solely on fanfiction here.
