Ugh, when is this red tide going to clear up??
Red tide is a naturally occurring yet toxic algal bloom that can be devastating to local marine life. Over the past year southwest Florida has been getting slammed with red tide, which has brought much death and destruction to the sea creatures along this coast.
I’ve actually visited southwest Florida twice during this bloom (once in June and once in September) and the effects that this has had on various marine animals has been sad to witness.
I’m hoping this will all clear up soon. Stay safe southwest Florida wildlife
