Roman Roy is not sympathetic to fascists. He's not just the child of a fascist. HE IS A FASCIST. He isn't supporting Mencken only for business reasons. He wants Mencken to be president because he supports fascism and is excited to have a fascist president. He has repeatedly shown his support for fascism throughout the series. He's the alt right guy who will say he's just "joking" about fascism, just being ironic for the laffs. But he is, in fact, very serious and very fascist.
