Hiii :3 It seems like you’ve gotten into geese too
My favorite song is probably bow down or maybe taxes
I was kind of hesitant to listen to them because of their sudden popularity but the hype was worth it! Their sound feels so fresh but at the same time I think they fit in well with this wave of experimental indie rock bands like bcnr, black midi etc.
It’s fun to see a New York band get popular because I looove the 2000s garage rock revival and the earlier punk/new wave scene that took place there!
Anyways that’s my geese talk hope you enjoyed
Ayy geese talk I have enjoyed !!
I started listening to Cameron Winter earlier this year, I did his "Heavy Metal" album as an album of the week in May.
And I found geese thru the single Taxes actually! I kinda knew them at first as the band Cameron Winter's is in, (not to discredit the other members ofc) I think Taxes is really good, I like the music video, love the lyricism, good song. Little tragic lines like these are simple and clever. I like how the note is held for quite a while on "down" as well.
(I've been doing a little sketchbook of lyrics I like for fun, trying out some fake-posca knockoffs and I suppose practising my freehand typography. It's low-stakes and enjoyable.)
I also like 100 Horses and ofc Pays du Cocaine on the "Getting Killed" album, it was my album of the week last week so I'm still on early listens with the other songs.
I watched their live performance of 3D Country on KEXP it was coool. And I've listened to some of their covers;
Justin Bieber's "Baby" - I was kinda obsessed with this and downloaded the song via youtube to mp3 so I could put it on my spotify playlists. I used to hate bieber when i was younger but I actually really like this cover, it's funny bc he's talking about his 13yo first love but it's actually pretty fun and the Ludacris verse nearly sounds like Elvis Presley with the way they've arranged it. Reminded me that in covers your should try make the song your own :)
Talking Heads' "This Might Be The Place"
Bee Gees' "Staying Alive"
I like bcnr and black midi too, I've listened to Georgie Greep's The New Sound album too so makes sense I like this scene / wave.
My own sheep photography to go with your photo :) (I love sheep!)
Hope you like MY geese talk haha.
