dasanidolan: concept: popular football grayson and shy reader thanks ily💖
hi! my first ask wow! thank u ily 2 🥺
warnings: shy!y/n footballplayer!gray pure fluff and cuteness
you were walking down the yellow painted walls on your way to your schools crowded cafeteria. your phone buzzed in your back pocket, as you grabbed it and unlocked it, you bumped into something hard.
you looked up and saw the one and only grayson dolan.
you and him had been friends in middle school, but had moved in different paths, him practicing for varsity football and you getting more into writing, meaning less communication, leading the friendship to an end.
“sorry y/n i wasn’t watching where i was going, you ok?” you bit your lip nervously as he spoke.
“m’okay, sorry, was my fault.” you shyly said looking at the ground avoiding eye contact.
“no, it was mine-”
“gray! coach chase asked where you’re at. come on!” one of graysons friends yelled.
“be right there.” he yelled back, now looking down at you, “you sure you’re okay?” you looked up, nodding.
“mhm yea.”
he pat your arm twice smiling, “k well its been awhile, so lets maybe catch up soon?”
your heart swelled with happiness as you smiled and whispered back, “sure.”
his beat up black converse squeaked on the marbeled floor as he did a 180, headed for his friend.
as you walked to lunch to meet your friend kelsey, you blushed as the little incounter replayed in your head over and over.
-
“so im going on a date with nathan and i was wondering if you’d let me set u up with his best friend...”
kelsey is what you’d call an extrovert, she loves outtings and dressing up for them. she has beautiful dark brown skin with short curly hair, always clipped back in the front with clips. her outfits were always perfect, today a green maxi skirt with a pink tank top and a soft green jacket, zipped up half way to comply with the schools dress code. her lips glossy and eyeliner perfect as always.
“kels i seriously am not interested in putting myself out there right now. im focused on exams.” you whined, hoping kelsey would forget it.
“y/n please. just do it for me, just do it for yourself! have some fun! you’ll still be able to study for exams.” she pouted. you rolled your eyes knowing there was no way out of the conversation without her winning.
so you agreed.
-
you decided on a short and flowy light pink dress that went down mid-thigh and some frilly socks with black platform mary janes. you curled your hair and clipped in pink glittery clips. you grabbed your phone and headed outside, jittery with butterflies circling in your stomach.
“girl you look good! hop in.” kelsey smiled. she wore a short purple dress, similar to yours but tighter that made her look even more perfect, along with fuzzy purple heels with little purple butterflys attached.
“you too kels.” you smiled back as she turned up the radio in her nissan rogue that she got when she turned 16.
-
as you guys arrived, you started to wonder who she had set you up with, not thinking about it till now.
she could tell you were tense. “loosen up, have fun!” she laughed while unbuckling her seatbelt and opening her car door.
you sighed and opened your door and got out, turning back to the car to grab your phone, but you heard a familiar voice.
“hey y/n, catching up a little sooner then i had thought. you look really pretty tonight...”
you turned around. “grayson?” his hazel eyes looking at you softly.
“thats me angel” he smirked.
a/n: yes no?
