I got to meet G. Love 😁
TAUK continues to expand their sonic palette & catalog of collaborative material w/ the release of “Sky to Light,” ft. groundbreaking reggae icon Matisyahu. Available on July 16th, “Sky the Light” is the first of a series of collaborative singles the quartet will be releasing in the coming months.
In 2022, GRAMMY-Winner Killer Mike proclaimed “I look forward to giving you a verse” when he worked with motocross legend Carey Hart & eclectic “street culture” artist Big B on a custom Indian motorcycle build. 2 years later, Killer Mike has upheld his promise appearing on “Pretend,” the 3rd single on Big B’s forthcoming album 'Wellness Check'.
Marking an end to a decade-long hiatus of full-length album releases under the Big B moniker, Bryan Mahoney reemerges with the release of Wellness Check, set to be out in July via Regime Music Group.

I just finished an 11 day vacation at the beach, in my favorite state in America. For the past 11 days I have worn nothing but boardshorts/surf trunks, with the occasional t-shirt. I went to just one show, a free show on the beach by G. Love, in the town I was vacationing in. And as you can tell by the list above, for the past 11 days I’ve listened to nothing but Bruce, Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, and G. Love (with the local favorite “Wildwood Days” also thrown in). These musicians are some of my staples for beach music. Men unintentionally dominate that playlist. So if you have any recommendations for female musicians who make great beach music (note - this is NOT the same thing as great summer music), please send them to me!!
As I mentioned last week, I’ve been pretty unplugged during this vacation. I have a bunch of new releases to catch up on - Blink 182, Maxwell, Blood Orange, and Shurn, plus Hozier’s song from the Tarzan soundtrack. Besides those, a couple pre-orders were announced that I’m really excited for. I’ll be ordering those early this week.
