time passes, keith and lance are both still unclaimed
lance starts hanging out with keith a little more now, they both have each other's backs since they came together and are still unclaimed
however lance hangs out more with hunk and keith with a kid from the demeter cabin, pidge and the one zeus dude, shiro
they are all a lil group tho
other campers dont stop using keith to bring lance down but he's managing, he went through this for months before anyway
there's speculation that keith might be a kid of the big three since he's a badass
as for lance? due to his flirtiness everyone passes him aside as an aphrodite kid, or a minor god/goddess
until around 1.5 month after he first arrived at camp they all go for a swim in the lake
keith and lance are getting into a competitive splashing war, they do shit like that they're very competitive with each other
things get a little heated and at some point a big wave crashes at keith
everyone stops what they're doing and stare at them
people start talking all at once, "poseidon" keeps being repeated amongst them and "who did that thats so cool"
everyone immediately assumes it was keith but keith denies it
lance stands still, he couldnt have done that could he?
until there's light above his head
a hologram of green light in the form of a trident appears
then everone starts bowing to him
"all hail lance mcclain, son of poseidon"
