🌈 RAINBOW — what is your oc's sexual orientation/gender identity? what pronouns do they use?
Mallory — She/Her, straight
🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?
Both were born nearby in an older house. After they got together, they chose to move into a nearby bed and bath which eventually turned into the motel they live in today.
They miss their families, but the old place was getting crowded so they moved out to create room for the kids that were growing up there. At the motel there is plenty of room for new families compared to the house.
💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc's negative traits?
Walt — Stubborn to a dangerous fault, takes risks without thinking if someone he loves is in danger, will ignore advice.
Mallory — Far too easygoing, very sheltered, very trusting in comparison to Walt.
They balance each other out well.
💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?
They both are in agreement that their children are the most important to them. Walt would also do anything if he could keep Mallory safe.
💛 YELLOW HEART — how many languages does your oc speak? what language(s) are they learning, if any?
They live in a sheltered area and were only exposed to one languaged. They would be open to learning more, but the opportunity for that isn't something that comes around for borrowers.
💜 PURPLE HEART — what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?
They are both descended from the settlers who came to the region. There may be some native blood among the borrowers, but they are mostly of european descent. The pale complexion grew more pale after living in the walls here for years with very little sun exposure.
🖤 BLACK HEART — has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone's heart and/or broken someone's trust?
The most that either has done for killing is Walt hunting down rats. He would happily do the same to Celeste if he could though.
💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.
Occasionally goes out at night to hunt for new pests in the motel (can't have an infestation taking root).
Knows how to get to the small garden at the front of the motel, and occasionally goes there just to pluck a single petal from a flower in bloom. After drying them out where he keeps his stuff for leatherwork, he folds them up into designs and gives them to Mallory on special occasions.
Hates the smell of anchovy pizza when someone orders it in a room nearby.
When Bree was little, Mallory would spend time each night brushing out her hair and bonding with little stories from her old home.
She keeps her home neat and clean, and gives Walt occasional heart attacks when she leaves to borrower simple kitchen supplies, such a salt when they need a refill.
Not against a small cup of alcohol if they ever find a drop.
