i love dipping my toes in hockey rpf... a little natecale here, a little mcdrai there. some gabeleno with a willmack palette cleanser. the occasional 1634 splurge. the sidgeno to top it all off.

tailoring, the perreaults and gabe's harem of well-dressed men in blue check

ive been working on a fic about suits and gp94 for a few months so i have had this info stockpiled lol i can share the basics. this is all very public and easy to find. i just care about tailoring and suits a lot so i notice this shid

with a quick browse of gp94's walk-ins, you'll find he gets his suits from Suits You. this is his older brother jeremy's tailoring company (though it is sometimes referred to as a mom-and-son venture with July, who studied fashion) <- i was going to include a sc of this info but it was purged from the website lol

this is a long ass post w lots of images so... keep reading lol

jeremy operates out of chicago (location details NOT available, please for the love of god do not contact them via their website or anything), and while he may see clients when they pass through the area, its also completely feasible when you work with athletes, that the measurements are done remotely and the suits are cut and made in Chi then shipped out. they are measuring themselves fairly often and menswear is pretty forgiving imo

you can find gabes teammates wearing suits from jeremy as far back as USNTDP days. draft suits, walk-in suits. He brought his BC teammates in and they often wore suits from Suits You to this day! interestingly enough tho, glorius, the tailor that does suits for the most prominent players in the NHL (imo) did gabe's frozen four suit and draft suit iirc

something fun to note here is the relatively limited slection of colours/prints. this isnt unusual, esp for a smaller tailor like SY. if you look closely, you will probably recognize some patterns gabe and co have worn.

every couple of months someone will go OMG joe and snurt from BC are wearing matching suits. this is why LOLLL leno and gabe have several matching suits, gabe and fowler do, too. they all were picking from that little catalogue. also this fucking coat that gabe wore for like 5 straight walkins... god

both leno and gabe wore these to their home openers lol. many of gabe's boys have this royal blue stripe or a similar royal blue check. i can confirm all of these are from jeremy, they were posted on his story in Feb. bonus video of rleno in his

we know Gabe is still sending people there because Garand from HWP has a matching suit with gabe :P

there are a few design elements that jeremy does (sometimes) that clue you into it being his work. first are the limited fabrics, the second was this fun little finish he was doing on lapels (see below and gabe's blue stripe suit) at the beginning of the year. i thought it was puckering at first LOL but he was being creative. he does it fairly often.

you guys have now seen that (following glorius and the NHLPA suit rules changing) Suits You are moving into other areas of mens fashion like Mack and Will's matching sets lol

gabe most likely doesn't pay for suits, or pays at cost. jeremy's work is skilled and high quality. things are lined and well fitted even if i take issue with the skinny cut of the trousers and where they fall on the waist

they recently did a purge of some old posts so im sorry that i can't share some of the walk-ins they would post. lots of fun and you can imagine that players enjoy their tailor being a (former) player + a unique way for jeremy to stay connected to his family's hockey business.

and just to clarify for any of the willmack/willleno/willmackleno/gabeleno/any permutation of the fuckass bc line polycule rpfers that aren’t caps fans, ryan leonard is a huge fucking dork!!! he’s a loser!!! little kid leno!!! the baby!!!! he might like to think he’s tough shit but even at world juniors he’s running down the hall w the trophy screaming and giggling!!!!! ryan leonard might be rough around the edges but he is not regina george!!!
