I was pretty fortunate to be a beta tester for Queen Mary’s Script Retold (by @maimiestoybox) a while back, here’s some sketches I did in between game testing~ (Plus a bonus 3-koma that only beta-testers would get, i guess??? In the beta version, ‘jump’ & ‘talk’ were mapped to the same button, so i kept hopping over the npcs i wanna talk to lol)
hey look it’s my favorite wooden asshole
Cat & Albert (From Ringmaster Clause)
The other day I finished the demo of Queen Mary’s Script Retold by @maimiestoybox and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be in pain until the full game releases. And maybe while I play the full game too.
It’s too beautiful ;v;
Mindless Box
Revelation || Gabicho 02
Gabriel would love until he ceased to exist either in heaven or on earth. He knew that he fixated on things; it was a bad habit of his. First it had been the girl he saved, though made her life a living nightmare. She was blind but she was breathing, something Jericho had reminded him once they had reunited back in Camden. Abandonment was on his list of issues, however odd the price. Jericho had lost his grace and his wings, and that was the last thing Gabe had ever wished had happened. He had chosen his name in hopes of following after the great archangel himself, yet now that he was one, it felt like an impossible shadow. His heart was only for his brother, and keeping him safe went above all his other heavenly duties.
The meeting with Esther hadn't gone as planned, that was for sure. Jericho and Gabe had spent most of the evening arguing about what the other thought best, and Gabriel be damned if he was going to let his little brother go without a kind of fight. He had lost him once, and he wasn't going to lose him again. Gabe could no longer care about whether or not Jericho would even want to speak to him after this, but as long as the other angel was safe, he'd be able to live in some sort of peace. This pact was only going to get them so far. Even now, he had no idea if Michael would even show up to the place that he had hoped everything would take place. What would he do with that kind of power? No ordinary angel was worth that risk; each fell for their own reason. In Jericho's case, it was love.
The wintery wonderland that was Alaska would never cease to amaze Gabriel. As he stood on the wood balcony in nothing but a t-shirt and jeans, despite the sub zero temperatures, he risked another glance at the paled wooden cabin that Esther had called her home. Gabe didn’t have to wonder where Jericho was, able to sense his presence from nearly anywhere. He knew Jericho was strong, but Gabe often wondered if he went about showing his brother how he felt the wrong way. There was no doubt about his brother’s capabilities, and now, when Heaven didn’t care if he died and Hell simply wanted him gone, Jericho was the only thing Gabe was desperate enough to protect.
Gabriel turned his gaze back to the snowy town at the bottom of the hill, sensing Jericho before his brother said anything. “At the end of this, will you forgive me?” he asked, glancing at his palm before creating a fist. “I’ve done nothing but serve Heaven for thousands of centuries. I deserve to do what I wish, don’t you agree?” Even if it meant giving up what made him a powerful angel, he’d do it to save Jericho the pain of ceasing to exist, or ending up in Purgatory.
“You overthink these things. It’s not a difficult plan; it’ll be quick and...nearly painless,” Gabe smiled to himself, letting out a sigh. He turned to face Jericho, holding his hands out to his sides, “You’re not changing my mind; do you want to die? Is that what this is about? Life has become that unbearable for you?” He moved towards his brother, “You think I didn’t feel the same way? But you stood there and accused me of not being able to handle mistakes like everyone else. That I was worthy of being all right. Well you are, too. And I will be damned before I make another mistake when there’s something I can do about it all.” The plan, for lack of a better word to call it, wasn’t all that simple. Fusing his grace with what was left of Jericho’s might simply make them both fall yet again, or even cause unnecessary pain. With Hell after Jericho, nothing was going to be simple. Gabe was able to hide both his and Jericho’s signature, a talent he had been working on over the years, but Esther was a known presence, it would be weird not to have her signature show up in the town.
