in an experiment where attempting to jump into a parallel universe for the first time, they accidentally jumped into the same spot as their other self, and ended up with merged minds- the body of other self disappearing from that other universe. The experiment was considered a success with a minor flaw. They gained the ability to travel to parallel universes and back with ease (including able to bring small objects with them), as well as gaining the ability to connect with their other 'self' in said universe ; able to feel the other's senses as well as feeling/thinking as if its their own. They became genderfluid around this time. Their advantage became their downfall; unconsciously traumatized by the flashes of themselves dying in parallel universes. Their work forced them to be put into fights and jumping when in danger, their memories becoming more mixed with every new connection, losing a sense of their identity.
Whenever they expressed their struggles, often wishing to simply be validated, they were met with careless, insensitive remarks or unsolicited advice. They weren't trying hard enough, it's not that bad, others have it worse, think positive, you're just sensitive, its been ages get over it, stop making a deal out of it, etc. Unable to process his emotions, she attempted to repress them by bottling them up. He began avoiding conflicts with higher risks, and sanitizing self due to others viewing them as aggressive and a threat. Without a safe space with a trusted network nor team, she slowly but increasingly struggled to keep up their work ethic. He started compulsions and little routines to ensure her 'safety', trying to be helpful and not inconvenient by expressing their negative emotions, not wishing to show weakness by expressing he needed help. They slowly stopped trying so hard upon realizing it would never be enough. Once deemed more inconvienent than useful, their work eventually abandoned them, treated as if never having existed in the first place.

Some friends of mine have joined together to do a dungeons and dragons group once every 2 weeks or so, so i pulled out one of my ocs to be a bard! ./with his love in music of all kinds, i thought it was a perfect fit! Hes got some pretty nice stats randomly, and he appears to be very lucky so far which is very in character for him! So far in the game the group has meet up, found a job and took it, then we went to do the job- where in the process Masaru came up with a plan to distract the bad ppl from the outside and everyone else sneak in (so if things went sour, he would be home free)- and it all worked out with him not having to fight while the others did, and they won with him cheering them on <3 its really fun so far, i cant wait for the next session! ./they wanted me to give a picture of masaru and all my old stuff is,,,junk haha, so i made a new one real fast ./yes his trumpet is blue, its his most prized possession
