To Gae-Na: When were you offered the position of Echidna D.E.L. Kommisar?
Lien-Da approached me about it a week before we were reassigned to Albion. I had been absent from the front lines to take care of my daughter so I was reluctant to resume active duty, but I felt I had to contribute in order to ensure she has a future. Her, and all the other members of our kind there.
Who's Gae-Na? Is she an OC for the Endangered Species remake?
No, she is an existing character who served as Lien-Da's right-hand woman. I don't blame you for not remembering her, she only ever appeared in three issues. We're gonna bring her back with a new design and an expanded role.
Say, how will you handle Lien-da and all the crazy copyright laws they have with her... she isn't technically Archie Sonic anymore
That doesn’t mean we can’t use her. Since this is a non-profit project, and we’re giving the credit for characters like Lien-Da to their original creators, they’re fair game for us to include in our stories. Look forward to seeing her and the other echidnas in the Endangered Species remake!
Speaking of the "-Na" suffix, does anyone remember Gala-Na? She's my absolute favorite character, but sadly, the old continuity doesn't exactly give her much personality other than "the good guy" version of Lien-Da. What would you think she's actually like? Both in her role as High Councilor of Albion and out of it in her spare time. Would she frolic through meadows? Secretly be a food junkie? Have trouble with her impossibly long hair?
Good questions, but unfortunately unlikely to be answered. Last we saw of her she was sent to the Egg Grapes along with the other citizens of Albion, so unless things change somewhere down the line we’re considering her dead.
