q: where in your house is your favourite place to study?

a: while at college my favorite place to study is the library, but since i don’t have that here, I like to study pretty much anywhere. i just reorganized my desk at home so it’s become a new space for me. i also like using a foldout desk in the living room to study as well! the living room in my house gets much more natural light than my room.

I don’t typically look at HSK prep materials, but the last time I did (last August), I barely knew any of HSK 1. I just wrote out the list of HSK 2 vocabulary and I know the majority! A few like 跑步 and 丈夫 I haven’t gotten to in my college Chinese course.

Just looking back at my old notes from just a few months ago makes me so proud because I know my handwriting, grammar, and speaking has improved so much. This is one of the greatest pleasures that come with learning a language. It’s a continuous process, but it’s just as rewarding. ✨

Hope you guys are staying safe and healthy. Wash your hands! Practice social distancing! Use this time to study something new, improve something old, clean, reconnect with people virtually, and catch up on a show you like! I just started The Untamed and I’m already hooked. 🙄 I can’t complain though.
